Abstract
Svært lavsvovelinneholdende hydrokarbongass oppnås ved sek-vensielt å kontakte gassen først med sinkoksid og så med nikkelmetall. Dette har redusert det totale svovelinnholdet i naturgassfødestrøm for en svevesjiktsyngassgenerator til mindre enn 0,1 ppm, og har resultert i større syngasspro-duktivitet. Et sinkoksidbeskyttelsessjikt nedstrøms syn-gassgeneratoren reduserer det totale svovelinnholdet i syngassen til mindre enn 10 vppb og foretrukket mindre enn 5 vppb. Denne svært lavsvovel inneholdende syngassen blir anvendt for svovelsensitive prosesser, slik som hydrokar-bonsyntese.
