Abstract
Den herværende oppfinnelse er en anordning som muliggjør at biologiske celler eller andre mikroskopiske partikler, båret av en mikroskopisk, laminær væskestrøm, føres enkeltvis over den åpne overflaten av et plant glass med en hastighet som kan varieres fra over 30 m/sek. til under 1 cm/sek, slik at cellenes/partiklenes fluorescens og lysspredning kan måles gjennom optikk plassert på begge sider av det plane glass. Anordningen omfatter en dyse (1) med hydrodynamisk fokusering som har sin lengdeakse i spiss vinkel med nevnte glass (2) og sin dyseåpning (4) i umiddelbar nærhet av glassets overflate. Videre vil cellenes/partiklenes elektriske isolerende volum samtidig kunne bestemmes ved at det i kontaktflaten mellom dysen (1) og nevnte glass (2) anbringes en elektrode (6) av inert metall. En konstant elektrolytisk strøm opprettholdes mellom denne elektrode (6) og en elektrode (7) i dysens væsketilførsel. Cellenes/partiklenes elektrisk isolerende volum kan måles ved de spenningspulser mellom nevnte elektroder de forårsaker idet de passerer gjennom dyseåpningen.
