Abstract
Støtdemper for spenegummi.Shock absorber for teat rubber.
Description
This invention relates to a shock absorber for the hose end of a milk organ's teat rubber which is designed to fit onto a tube nipple.
In the hitherto commonly used equipment for milking cows, the milking organ's teat rubber is connected to a so-called teat cup central unit by threading the hose end of the teat rubber over an obliquely cut tube nipple which is placed on the teat cup central unit. The milk is transported through the formed connection as a result of vacuum maintained in the teat cup central. By letting the milk organ hang down, the connection between the teat rubber and the aforementioned pipe nipple can then be closed if desired. This happens in such a way that part of the hose wall simply fits like a lid over the upwardly chamfered nipple end.
This known device is disadvantageous in that the hose end of the teat rubber, which in connection with milking is inevitably exposed to shock, is damaged by the chamfered nipple end, so that even leakage can occur. Attempts have been made to remove this drawback by designing the hose end of the teat rubber as a thickening, i.e. as a sleeve integrated with the hose end, i.e. made of rubber. However, it has been shown that such a device does not solve the problem. Furthermore, designing the teat-cup central's connections for the teat rubber hoses with chamfered ends involves a significant increase in costs.
The purpose of the invention is to provide a shock absorber of the type mentioned at the outset which does not suffer from the aforementioned weaknesses, i.e. partly eliminates the risk of impact damage and partly allows the teat rubber to be shut off from the teat cup central regardless of the design of the connecting pipe nipple. The latter must therefore be able to be designed either as chamfered until now or simply with a transversely cut off end.
According to the invention, a shock absorber of the type mentioned at the outset is characterized by elongated or oblong protrusions of elastic material which are substantially axially arranged on the outside of the hose end and which are substantially evenly distributed along the circumference of the hose end.
With this design of the shock absorber, this teat rubber effectively protects against impact damage by the protrusions absorbing impact energy. The hitherto existing thickenings at the • hose ends of the teat rubber have not had this ability, but have transferred the shocks to the points of contact of the hose end with the tube nipple without significant energy absorption, so that the latter has rubbed on the hose end. With the proposed design, protection is achieved for the hose end in all possible positions of the same, i.e. whether it is straight or bent. In addition, a teat rubber can be cut off from connection with its teat cup center simply by the milking organ being hung down, regardless of whether the tube nipple is made, chamfered or cut across, which will be apparent from the following explanation.
In a preferred embodiment of the shock absorber, the protrusions essentially have the form of ridges, the plane of symmetry of which extends radially from the longitudinal axis of the hose end.
It is particularly appropriate to determine the axial length of the protrusions to be at least 1^ times the diameter of the hose end.
To achieve the best possible effect, the height of the protrusions calculated from the outer surface of the hose end should be approximately 20 to 30% of the outer diameter of the hose.
Ved en særlig hensiktsmessig utforming av støtdemperen er In the case of a particularly suitable design of the shock absorber is
antall fremspring 12-20. number of projections 12-20.
From a manufacturing point of view, it is very appropriate to leave the protrusions in one with the teat rubber, i.e. to make the teat rubber and its shock absorbers in a single piece of rubber.
An embodiment of the shock absorber shall be described in more detail below as an example with reference to the drawing, where: Fig. 1 is a side view of a shock absorber according to the invention, fig. 2 shows a cross-section along the line II-II in fig. 1, fig. 3 is a side view partly in section showing a milking organ with the hose end of the teat rubber attached to a pipe nipple belonging to a teat cup central, fig. 4 largely corresponds to fig. 3, but shows a section through the hose end in the closed position, and fig. 5 shows a section through a shock absorber according to the invention on a hose end which is threaded onto a transversely cut pipe nipple, where the hose end is in the closed position.
Ved slangeenden 4 er det anordnet en støtdemper 6 som er byg-get opp av er antall ryggformede fremspring 7, som vist på fig. Fig. 3 shows a milking device 1 with a teat cup 2 at the open wide end 3 of the teat rubber and the opposite, snake-shaped end 4 of the teat rubber. The hose end is attached to a pipe nipple 5 cut off at an angle. At the hose end 4 there is a shock absorber 6 which is built up of is the number of ridge-shaped projections 7, as shown in fig.
1 og 2. 1 and 2.
As can be seen from fig. 4, the teat rubber's connection with the beveled tube nipple 5 can be closed by bending the teat rubber down, so that the inclined opening is closed by the wall of the teat rubber hose. Fig. 5 shows how a teat rubber hose which is equipped with a shock absorber according to the invention can be closed by bending down even in the event that the teat rubber hose has encountered a transversely cut pipe nipple 8. In this case, the passage of the teat rubber hose is compressed due to the transition from it by means of of the shock absorber stiffened end to the remaining part of the teat rubber 9.
