Fig. 9 is a similar view of another Iorm wound. This cup is described in detail with reference to Figs. 5, 6, and 7 and from it a' discharge tube 16 leads to a receiving vessel or'bottle 17. ' The cup 14,'for the preferred form, is shown in detail in Figs. 5, 6' and 7 and preferably is constructed of antiseptic metal, such asiron, silver, aluminum or the like, but maybe of glass, the shell being made; as light as possible and internally as smooth as possible with also a smooth facing. This cup is providedwith three orifices so as to make it universal or suitable for use inall positions. The orifice 22 is at the top and the orifice 23 at the end and both of these. are sho'wnas plugged while the orifice 245 at the side is provided with a rimmed thi'rnble whose verging rim 25 bears against the internal edge of the orifice'a nd ascrewed sleeve 27 on its external threaded end makes the joint tight while therubber tube 16 is arran'ged over the exposed end of the sleeve 27. Though the niost approved construction of this cup is adopted it may be made of various shapes and. have just such orifices as may be most suitable. s

In the form shown in Fig. 3 for the treatdent of a finger wherein for the collecting cup a rubber casing or stall 19 is substituted and this casing has an orifice midway of its length as shown in section in Fig. 8 for attachment thereto of tube 16 to bottle 17.
