Description
Anordning ved sykkelpedaler.
Oppfinnelsen angår en anordning ved
sykkelpedaler hvor pedalen er opphengt
eksentrisk, nedenfor sitt svingesenter på
pedalpinnen. Anordningen etter oppfinnelsen karakteriseres ved at pedalene er
festet stivt til en ring eller hylse som er
lagt om en lagerskål, som er festet i pedalpinnens ende.
Hensikten er å oppnå en behagelig
balansepedal som gir hvile for foten og som
letter overgangen i de såkalte dødpunkter.
Mens en vanlig pedal er anordnet sving-bar om sitt midtpunkt og gir et ustødig
anlegg for foten, vil en pedal etter oppfinnelsen gi god hvile for foten og være
behagelig i bruk. Når pedalpinnen inntar
sin vertikalstilling (det såkalte dødpunkt)
er det med en pedal etter oppfinnelsen mu-lig å stille pedalen i skråstilling foran
dødpunktet og oppnå tilstrekkelig kraftarm til å komme forbi dødpunktet.
Et utførelseseksempel av anordningen
etter oppfinnelsen er vist på tegningen,
som viser en sykkel sett fra siden.
I eksemplet er pedalene 6, 7 festet stivt
til en ring eller hylse 4, på en arm 5 på
hylsen, som er lagt om en lagerskål 5 som
er festet til pedalpinnens 1, 2 ende. Pedalene 6, 7 kan også festes direkte til hylsene
4. Pedalene er altså opphengt eksentrisk
til sine dreiesentre, sentrisk i skålen 3 og henger i balanse nedenfor svingesentrene. Da pedalene dessuten er stivt forbundet med hylsen 4 eller armen 5 (og ikke har en egensvingning om sin midte) vil de gi en rolig og behagelig støtte for foten.
Pedalene vil normalt henge vertikalt nedenfor dreiesentrene, men kan under sykling også stilles som vist på tegningen. Når en pedalpinne inntar sin øvre vertikalstilling, stilles pedalen i en skråstilling, noe foran vertikalen, og gir da tilstrekkelig kraftarm til å komme ut av dødpunktet.

- Anordning ved sykkelpedaler, hvor pedalene er opphengt eksentrisk, nedenfor sine svingesentre, karakterisert ved at pedalene (6, 7) er festet stivt til en ring eller hylse (4) som er lagt om en lagerskål (3), festet i pedalpinnenes (1, 2) ytre ende.
