Abstract
The railway car connection tunnel consitst of a number of tubular peripheral weather strips (2, 4) fixed to each other and made of rubber or a similar flexible material. One end of the connection is fixed to one of the cars and at the other end there is an end frame which serves as the removable fixing to the other car. This forms an internal corridor and the two ends are joined by transverse pieces. The coupling is done automatically and uses of a pivoting jaw (9) working in conjunction with a tension spring (10) and an opening in a transverse piece. The jaw is triangular in shape and the end of the connection is slightly inclined to the vertical.
