Abstract

The roof cable ventilator is constructed from two similar flat members (1, 2) with outer and inner circular arc profiles. The exterior member (1) has ridge platforms in the form of parallel strips (3) in between which are V-profile channels (4, 5, 6). The interior member is similar to the exterior but has flat ridges along the upper and lower faces forming a sandwich construction which interlocks with the first member and provide air ventilation channels but does not provide direct path to permit the entry of rain or in blown snow. The tiles are mounted in a vertical plane at the edge of a roof gable. The exterior member is thinner than the outer to provide the clearance necessary for ventilation and drainage.
