Abstract

1377986 Roof decking H H ROBERTSON CO 25 Sept 1972 [1 Oct 1971] 45719/71 Heading E1W Roof decking is formed by spanning channelshaped beams 11a, 11b formed of glass fibre reinforced gypsum (GRG) across roof purlins 42. The channels are bridged by GRG slabs 34a secured to coplanar flanges 13a, 13b at the edges of the beams 11a, 11b which overlap and may interlock with adjacent slabs along their edges. The slabs may be coated on their upper surface by a layer 15a of foamed polyurethane and a layer 16a of elastomericurethane, PVF or PVC film. The layer 16a may comprise conventional roofing felt and the slabs formed as a prefabricated unit. The channels may be layed spaced or contacting, with the slabs spanning the gaps between the channels when they are spaced.
