Abstract

Electrophotographic light sensitive plate consists of (a) a lower electrically conducting plate, (b) an intermediate glassy selenium layer, (c) an upper layer of an organic, photoconducting insulating material which is mainly non-sensitive in the region of the visible radiation. Pref. (a) is an insulating substrate with a copper iodide layer and (c) is a mixture of polycarbonate resin with organic photoconducting layer. The plate is flexible and is suitable for repeated use. The plate has a high sensitivity for visible radiation in the 400-750 nm region, and has a good storage stability. Latent images with a high potential and a strong contrast are formed.
