Abstract

Rolled-up sealing strip for use in buildings, particularly on flat roofs. N4-. Consists of (1) a layer of bitumen which forms the underside of the strip, (2) bonded to the bitumen, a bitumen-impregnated jute fabric, glass fabric or glass fleece, (3) bonded to this, an upper bitumen layer, and on the upper bitumen layer, (4) a metal strip which has ribs or oriented impression, which forms the upper side of the strip. The ribs or impressions run across the length of the strip. Such a sealing strip is light in weight, has good insulation properties and is cheap to produce. No maintenance is needed. The strips are particularly used for sealing flat roofs against leakage.
