Abstract

Hollow or very porous plastic particles (95% or more porosity) are rolled in an adhesive and then coated with a layer of hardening material in order that they should not crumble during later moulding into products. They are then automatically transported through an oven to melt the original particle material and harden the new casing layer (200 degrees C for melting but much higher temp. for hardening). Hardly any gas is given off during this hardening process and particles are therefore free of tears and holes.
