Abstract
1,176,606. Window pivot. FERCO, S.a.r.L. 12 March, 1968 [12 April, 1967], No. 11986/68. Heading E2F. A pivot arrangement for a swing window sash comprises a plate 1 rigid with the window, a pair of plates 2 and 3 to be coupled together and rigid with the window sash and upper and lower links 9 and 11. The flanges 1a on plate 1 and 2a on plate 2 are adapted to fit together to form a water-tight assembly on the outside of the window when closed. Bearing holes 4 and 5 in plate 1 carry pivots attaching it to the upper link 9 and lower link 11 so as to permit opening and closing movements of the window sash. When the pivot is assembled, plates 2 and 3 are held rigid with each other by means of the stud 6 which fits into the recess 6a when the screw 10 is tightened. The pivot 8 also carries a braking device 14, 15 which is variable by adjustment of the tightness of the screw 10.
