Abstract

The method involves making a medication dose accessible at an opening of a container (110) e.g. pouch, by advancing a tape at a beginning of a predetermined time period, where each compartment of the tape holds all medication doses to be administered to a patient in the predetermined time period. Each compartment is made to hold the medication doses inaccessible at an end of the predetermined time period. The medication dose is discarded after the predetermined time period, when administering is no longer allowed by a prescription. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for inserting medical doses in a tape (2) a medication dispenser comprising a driving unit (3) a container comprising a tape (4) a closecad loop system comprising a data base.

It concerns a repackaging method of medicines in unit delivery packaging while maintaining the protection and information of the original plural packaging and the possibility of adding additional information.

Medicines are offered by producers in a variety of packages. In almost all cases, a use pack contains several units of one type of medicine for different uses. Many requirements are set for the packaging of medicines. For example, the package must include a package leaflet, a registration number, an expiry date, a barcode and a batch number.

Because the individual medicine units are often too small and because of standardization of the supplier's delivery package, the information is usually applied to the outer packaging and not to the individual units.

The patent pending focuses on a method and method of repackaging medicines in dosable delivery units, without compromising the integrity and protection of the original packaging.

The method also makes it possible to transfer all information from the outer packaging to the individual dosing units and to add information carriers. The method of repackaging with the original packaging kept instantaneous makes it possible for the repackaging process to take place under reduced GMP requirements.

Objective of the Patent

Thanks to the method, the unit delivery package comes available at lower costs and with original shelf life and quality guarantees from the manufacturer, and can therefore make an important contribution to medication safety and compliance.

Description of the Patent 10 The original manufacturer's packaging is punched out by means of a computer-controlled punching machine. The integrity of the packaging is maintained. By maintaining, it is meant that the medicine remains fully protected by the original packaging.

The medicines punched out of the original package are then placed in a pass-through prepared for this. The pass-through may consist of a cardboard plate with recesses and a perforation. A label can be applied to the cardboard on which all information from the outer packaging is copied for each individual package and additional information is added. A medium is applied to the cardboard to fix the loose blisters in the fitting section. In order to close the back of the pass tout a cover sticker is affixed after all loose medicines have been placed in the pass tout this guarantees that the blisters can never come off unintentionally. The perforation is applied last to ensure good divisibility.

This method of packaging makes it possible to identify and track individual units after they have been shared. The identification makes tracing and tracking of medicines, among other things, possible in hospitals. The information in digitized form makes it easy and affordable to monitor drug distribution processes.

Detailed description of drawings ---

The original multiple consumer drug package often consists of a non-divisible blister of Fig. 1 while retaining all information. The medicines are punched out by means of a computer-controlled punching machine, fig. 2, taking into account that the package remains closed around the medicine (2.1).

Fig. 6 is a sectional view of the filled card. (6.1) shows a sealed label to ensure the position of punched out blister (6.2) in the recess of the card. The glue (6.3) on the fitting part keeps the blister in place (6.4) is the information label.

The use of Peak and Place machines for filling the pass par tout with punched-out units of medicines. The use of a pas par tout, provided with hot melt and a pre-printed label with legally required information per delivery unit, to regroup medicines punched from the original blister.
