Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un metodo para producir una tira de metal colado utilizando una instalacion de colada por dos rodillos. La instalacion de colada comprende dos rodillos de colada y dos placas laterales que conjuntamente definen una camara de metal fundido y un espacio de colada. El metal fundido es introducido dentro de la camara de metal fundido, y forma en la camara de metal fundido, un bano de metal fundido con una superficie del bano que esta abierta hacia la parte superior. La tira metalica colada es transportada desde la camara de metal fundido y a traves del espacio de colada. Un area superficial (30) de delimitacion para recolectar las particulas que son extranas al metal fundido, es producida sobre la superficie del bano, bajo el efecto de al menos un chorro de gas (20, 20a, 20b). El objetivo de la invencion es evitar sustancialmente la introduccion de particulas que son extranas al metal fundido, en la superficie o en la zona casi superficial de la tira colada. Para este proposito, al menos un chorro de gas (20, 20a, 20b) es dirigido conjuntamente con el rodillo de colada (1, 2) sobre la superficie del bano a una distancia del eje (21) de chorro de gas hacia la linea de contacto (10, 11) de la superficie del bano (8).
