Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para tratar aceites crudos ácidos o fracciones de los mismos, para reducir o eliminar su corrosividad por la adicion de cantidades adecuadas de oxidos, hidroxidos, hidratos de hidroxidos o sales de naftenato de metales del Grupo IA o el Grupo IIA a un aceite crudo corrosivo,ácido, o por remezclar un aceite crudo que contiene una sal de naftenato, en relaciones apropiadas, con un aceite crudo corrosivo, ácido. El procedimiento tiene los beneficios de reducir los problemas del manejo de materiales, asociados con los tratamientos de los aceites crudos ácidos, que usan solventes líquidos, y en reducir la formacion de emulsiones.
