Abstract
A fin de lograr medir, por ejemplo, la velocidad de las partículas que se mueven dentro de varias tuberías o recintos (1), tal como las bolas de catalizador que circulan en las plantas de conversión continua, se abre un canal (2) con una sección propia para aquélla de las partículas, conectado a una fuente de fluido de velocidad de flujo determinada (4), en éstos, y se miden las variaciones de presión en este canal, que resultan del flujo de las partículas que circulan más allá del extremo del mismo, que modifican el flujo libre del fluido hacia la tubería. La velocidad de la partícula se determina en forma notable mediante una autocorrelación de las señales que trasladan las variaciones de presión por medio de un sistema que da información del proceso (6). También se pueden abrir dos canales (7, 8), alimentados con fluido, en dos diferentes ubicaciones a lo largo de la tubería y, mediante una intercorrelación de las señales que trasladan, respectivamente, las variaciones de presión, por ejemplo, se pueden determinar la velocidad y la sección de las partículas circulantes.
