Abstract
Un método para laminar hojas de vidrio, este método comprende las etapas de: (a) suministrar un conjunto de hojas de vidrio que comprende una pareja de hojas de vidrio opuestas, las cuales están espaciadas entre sí, y un elemento espaciador ubicado entre las hojas de vidrio, el elemento espaciador es permeable al aire e impermeable al líquido y se extiende a lo largo de bordes perifericos de las hojas de vidrio, el conjunto de hojas de vidrio está en orientación substancialmente horizontal; (b) introducir un volumén medido en una resina laminadora líquida entre las hojas de vidrio de modo que la resina haga contacto con las superficies internas de las hojas de vidrio, tanto superior como de fondo, conforme se introducen en el espacio entre las hojas, la introducción de la resina se controla de modo que un menisco de resina, entre las hojas superior y de fondo, se extienda al exterior de una manera controlada; (c) llenar el espacio entre las hojas de vidrio con el volumén medido de resina, el aire es desplazado por la resina y es evacuado a través del elemento espaciador; y (d) permitir que la resina cure y solidifique, formando así una capa interna entre las hojas de vidrio. La invención también suministra un artículo de vidrio. La invención también suministra un artículo de vidrio laminado que comprende una pareja de hojas de vidrio opuestas, las cuales se separan por una capa interna de un material laminador moldeado en el lugar, compuesto de una resina plástica curada, la resina se ha introducido entre las hojas como un líquido que tiene una viscosidad de 200 a 4000 centipoises, y un elemento espaciador, permeable al aire e impermeable al líquido, se extiende alrededor de la periferia, entre las hojas de vidrio.
