Abstract
Se proporciona un proceso continuo para convertir residuos plásticos en reciclado para la polimerización de polipropileno. El proceso comprende seleccionar residuos plásticos que contienen polietileno y/o polipropileno, y hacer pasar los residuos plásticos a través de un reactor de pirólisis para craquear térmicamente al menos una porción de los residuos de poliolefina y producir un efluente pirolizado. El efluente pirolizado se separa en gas residual, una fracción de nafta/diésel, una fracción pesada y carbón. El aceite y la cera de pirólisis, que comprende nafta/diésel y fracciones pesadas, se pasa a una unidad de FCC de refinería. Una mezcla de parafina/olefina de gas licuado de petróleo C3 se recupera de la unidad de FCC. Las parafinas C3 y las olefinas C3 se separan en diferentes fracciones pasando la fracción de olefina C3 a un reactor de polimerización de propileno y la fracción de parafina C3 pasando opcionalmente a una unidad de deshidrogenación para producir propileno adicional.
