Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con una planta que comprende un homólogo de gen F5H modificado, en donde el homólogo de gen comprende una modificación en comparación con su homólogo de gen F5H de tipo silvestre correspondiente, en donde la presencia del homólogo de gen F5H modificado en la planta da como resultado una reducción en el cambio de coloración de superficie inducida por heridas en comparación con una planta que no comprende el homólogo de gen F5H modificado. La invención también se relaciona con un homólogo de gen F5H modificado que da como resultado cambio de coloración en la superficie, inducido por heridas, reducido. La invención se relaciona adicionalmente con el uso de un gen en la crianza y producción de plantas que muestran cambio de coloración en la superficie inducido por heridas reducido.
