Abstract

La presente proporciona métodos y materiales para el aumento de la biomasa de las raíces en una planta, por medio del aumento de la expresión de por lo menos una proteína PEAPOD, o un fragmento de la misma, en la planta. También proporciona métodos y materiales para la producción de una biomasa de las raíces aumentada de la planta, el método comprende el paso de aumentar la expresión de por lo menos una proteína PEAPOD, o un fragmento de la misma, en la planta. Reivindicación 8: El método de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 7, en el que la proteína PEAPOD, o un fragmento de la misma, es un polipéptido que comprende la secuencia de por lo menos una de la SEC ID Nº 28, 29, 31, 32, 34 y 35.
