Abstract
La presente invención describe un método para producir drimenol y/o derivados de drimenol poniendo en contacto un polipéptido con pirofosfato de farnesilo. También se proporciona una secuencia de aminoácidos de un polipéptido útil en los métodos de la invención y un ácido nucleico que codifica el polipéptido de la invención. El método proporciona además células hospederas u organismos modificados genéticamente para expresar los polipéptidos de la invención y que es útil para producir drimenol y/o derivados de drimenol.
