Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para producir drimenol y/o derivados de drimenol, al poner en contacto al menos un polipéptido con el difosfato de farnesilo. El método puede ser realizado in vitro o in vivo. La presente invención también proporciona las secuencias de aminoácidos de los polipéptidos útiles en el método de la invención, y el ácido nucleico que codifica los polipéptidos de la invención. El método proporciona además las células y organismos hospederos genéticamente modificados para expresar los polipéptidos de la invención, y útiles para producir drimenol y/o derivados de drimenol.
