Abstract
Un método para el arranque de un proceso para la epoxidación de etileno que comprende: iniciar una reacción de epoxidación haciendo reaccionar una composición de gas de alimentación que contiene etileno y oxígeno, en la presencia de un catalizador de epoxidación en una temperatura de aproximadamente 180°C hasta aproximadamente 210°C; agregar a la composición de gas de alimentación de aproximadamente 0.05 ppm hasta aproximadamente 2 ppm del moderador; aumentar la primera temperatura a una segunda temperatura de aproximadamente 240°C hasta aproximadamente 250°C, por un período de tiempo de aproximadamente 12 horas hasta aproximadamente 60 horas; y mantener la segunda temperatura por un período de tiempo de aproximadamente 50 horas hasta aproximadamente 150 horas.
