Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un material de cristal líquido modulador de luz, el cual comprende microgotitas de cristal líquido dispersadas en una matriz birrefringente transmisora de luz, siendo los índices efectivos de refracción de las microgotitas y de la matriz acoplados para todas las direcciones de luz incidente, de tal manera que el material es transparente y libre de neblina en uno de un estado de campo encendido o un estado de campo apagado, y los índices efectivos de refracción son mal acoplados, de tal manera que el aterial es opaco en el otro del estado de campo encendido o estado de campo apagado.
