Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una composición acuosa para tratar una superficie metálica comprendiendo: a) un compuesto de cromo hexavalente; b) un compuesto seleccionado a partir del grupo que consiste de sílice y silicatos y mezclas de los mismos; y c) fosfato, en donde la relación por peso de fosfato a cromo total es desde alrededor de 0.1:1.0 a alrededor de 1.0:1 y la relación por peso de sílice o silicato a cromo total es desde alrededor de 1.0:1.0 a 3.0 a 1.0.
