Abstract

본 발명은 복사기의 사용자에게 토너의 잔량을 알려주기 위한 토너잔량 표시방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명은 토너의 잔량을 사용자가 수시로 알수 있도록 표시함으로써 토너 보충시기를 미리 알 수 있는 토너잔량 표시방법을 제공하는데 있다.
본 발명은 전원이 ON되면, 제1센서 내지 제4센서(1~4)가 토너용기(10)의 레벨 포인트(1a~4a)속에 있는 토너의 량을 감지하게 되는데, 이때 제1 내지 제4센서(1~4)에 의해 검출된 신호에 따라 마이콤(5)에 의해 토너잔량 100% 토너잔량 75% 토너잔량 50% 토너잔량 25% 및 토너잔량 0%을 컨트롤 패널(6)에 있는 해당램프를 점등시키는 것으로, 제1센서 내지 제4센서(1~4)에 의해 검출된 신호가 0,0,0,0(토너잔량 100%) 1,0,0,0(토너잔량 75%), 1,1,0,0(토너잔량 50%), 1,1,1,0(토너잔량 25%), 및 1,1,1,1(토너잔량 0%)중 어느 하나에 해당되는 지를 마이콤(5)에 의해 비교 판단한 뒤 마이콤(5)이 컨트롤 패널(6)에 결합된 램프를 점등시킨다.

제1도는 본 발명에 따른 토너잔량 표시장치가 부착된 토너 캐트리지의 요부 단면도이다.
제2도는 본 발명에 따른 토너잔량 표시장치가 부착된 토너 캐트리지의 평면도이다.
제3도는 본 발명에 따른 토너잔량 표시방법에 따라 회로적으로 처리되는 디스플레이 공정도이다.

Claims (2)

  1. 전원이 ON되면, 제1센서 내지 제4센서(1~4)가 토너용기(10)의 레벨 포인트(1a~4a)속의 토너의 유무를 동시에 감지하여 제1내지 제4센서(1~4)에 의해 검출된 신호가 없는 경우 마이콤(5)에 의해 토너잔량 100%로 디스플레이 하는 제1단계와; 제1센서에 의해 검출된 신호가 있고(ON), 제2센서 내지 제4센서(2~4)에 의해 검출된 신호가 없는(OFF)경우에는 마이콤(5)에 의해 토너잔량 75%로 디스플레이 하는 제2단계와; 제1센서(1) 및 제2센서(2)에 의해 검출된 신호가 있고, 제3센서(3) 및 제4센서(4)에 의해 검출된 신호가 없는(OFF)경우에는 마이콤(5)에 의해 토너잔량 50%로 디스플레이 하는 제3단계와; 제1 내지 제3센서(1~3)에 의해 검출된 신호가 있고, 제4센서(4)에 의해 검출된 신호가 없는(OFF) 경우에는 마이콤(5)에 의해 토너잔량 25%로 디스플레이 하는 제4단계와; 제1 내지 제4센서(1~4)에 의해 검출된 신호가 모두 있는 경우, 마이콤(5)에 토너잔량 0%로 디스플레이 하는 제5단계로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 토너잔량 표시방법.
  2. 원주면에 높이를 달리하는 복수개의 레벨 포인트(1a~4a)를 구비하는 토너의 용기(10)와; 상기 용기에 들어 있는 토너를 일정량씩 배출시키기 위한 토너 공급수단과; 상기 각각의 레벨 포인트들과 이웃하게 하우징에 결합되어 독립적으로 작동되는 제1 내지 제4센서(1~4)가 결합된 수직프레임(21)과; 상기 제1 내지 제4센서(1~4)에 의해 검출된 신호와 설정된 설정치와 비교 분석하는 마이콤(5)과; 마이콤(5)의 분석에 의해 컨트롤 패널(6)에 배열된 해당 램프를 점등시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 토너잔량 표시장치.
