Abstract

본 발명의 투사형 칼라화면표시장치는 광스위칭장치, 예컨데 능동스위칭소자에 의해서 구동되는 화소들의 매트릭스를 갖는 화면표시장치가(예컨데 강유전성액정물질에 근거한) 광스위칭장치에 유리하게 사용되는 상이한 칼라의 연속광스트립(순차 칼라신호패널 투사기)에 의해서 조사되는 장치를 구비하며, 여기서 상기 구동은 후속의 서브프레임에 대한 메모리 활동에 전혀없도록 선택된다. 특히 강유전 화소의 전압 독립 개패시턴스로 인해, 있을 수 있는 용량효과에 대한 간단한 정정이 충분한, 간단한 구동모드가 사용될 수 있다. 특히 2극 구동모드에서는 (광학적) 리셋에 대해서 상대적으로 더긴 시간이 가용하게 사용될 수 있다. 두가지형태의 구동모드의 조합이 가능하다. 또한 악영향없이 프레임주기의 작은 부분안에서 의 DC 효과의 보상도 가능하다.

Claims (16)

  1. 프레임주기 내에 상이한 칼라의 광빔들을 발생하는 조사시스템 및, 화상정보를 갖는 상기 광빔을 변조하기 위하여 해당 광빔의 칼라의 상기 화상정보를 제공하는 광스위칭장치를 구비하는 칼라화면표시장치에 있어서, 상기 광스위칭장치는 능동스위칭소자를 통해서 구동될 수 있는 화소의 매트릭스 및, 소정의 칼라의 광빔의 제공이전 또는 제공하는 동안 상기 화소를 관련된 칼라의 전송값으로 스위칭하게 하는 구동장치를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 칼라화면표시장치.
  2. 상이한 칼라의 동시광 스트립을 발생하는 조사시스템과, 광스위칭장치와, 상이한 모든 칼라의 부분들이 상기 광스위칭장치에 동시에 도달하도록 상기 광스위칭장치의 표면에 걸쳐서 상이한 칼라의 상기 광스트립을 변위시키는 광학시스템 및, 상기 해당부분이 상기 해당 광스트립의 칼라의 화상정보를 제공하고 상기 화상정보를 갖는 상기 광스트립을 변조하도록 한 칼라의 한 광스트립에 의해서 조사된 상기 광스위칭장치의 각 개개의 부분을 어드레스지정하는 제어장치를 구비하는 칼라 화면 표시장치에 있어서, 상기 광스위칭장치는 능동스위칭소자를 통해서 구동될 수 있는 화소의 매트릭스 및, 소정의 칼라의 광빔의 제공이전 또는 제공하는 동안 상기 화소를 관련된 칼라의 전송값으로 스위칭하게 하는 구동장치를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 칼라화면표시장치.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 광스위칭 장치는 제1기판과 제2기판 및, 상기 제1 및 제2기판 사이에 행과 열로 배열되고 각각이 능동스위칭소자를 통해서 열전극 또는 행전극에 접속되는 강유전성 액정 화면표시소자들의 매트릭스를 가지는 화면표시장치를 구비하며, 상기 화면표시장치는 선택이전에 보조신호에 의해서 한행의 화면표시소자들을 최대 광 전송상태(extreme optical transmission state)로 이동시키는 수단 및, 선택목적상 전압을 행전극에 제공하기 위한 시간간격후에 종료하는 시간간격도중에 데이타전압을 상기 열전극에 제공하는 제어회로를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 칼라화면표시장치.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 제어회로는 선택목적상 전압을 행전극에 제공하기 위한 시간간격전에 개시하는 시간간격도중에 데이타 전압을 상기 열전극에 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 칼라화면표시장치.
  5. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 광스위칭장치는 제1기판과 제2기판 사이에 행과 열로 배열되고 각각이 능동스위칭소자를 통해서 열전극 또는 행전극에 접속되는 강유전성 액정 화면표시소자들의 매트릭스를 가지는 상기 제1 및 제2기판을 구비하며, 상기 화면표시장치는 선택이전에 보조신호에 의해서 한 행의 화면표시소자들을 최대 광 전송상태(extreme optical transmission state)로 이동시키는 수단 및, 선택이전에 행선택주기이내에 상기 보조신호를 제공하고 부가의 행선택주기이내에 상기 한행의 화면표시소자들에 걸쳐서 보상전압을 제공하는 제어회로를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 칼라화면표시장치.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 하나의 행선택 주기내에 관하여 상이한 연속의 행에 대한 상기 보상신호와 상기 선택신호가 서로에 대해서 오프셋되는 것을 특징으로 하는 칼라화면표시장치.
  7. 제3항, 제5항 또는 제6항에 있어서, 상기 능동스위칭소자는 2극 스위칭소자인 것을 특징으로 하는 칼라화면표시장치.
  8. 제5항, 제6항 또는 제7항에 있어서, 상기 제어회로는 또 다른 행선택주기내에 단락회로신호(short-circuit signal)를 상기, 한행의 화면 표시소자들에 공급하는 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 칼라화면표시장치.
  9. 제5항 또는 제6항에 있어서, 상기 보상신호, 상기 보조신호 및 상기 선택전압은 연속의 사이클 또는 프레임 동안 부호(sign)를 변화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 칼라화면표시장치.

  11. 제10항에 있어서, 상기 제어회로는 선택목적상 전압을 행전극에 제공하기 위한 시간간격전에 개시하는 시간간격도중에 데이타 전압을 상기 열전극에 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화면표시장치.
  12. 제1기판과 제2기판 사이에 행과 열로 배열되고 각각이 능동스위칭소자를 통해서 열전극 또는 행전극에 접속되는 강유전성 액정 화면표시소자들의 매트릭스를 가지는 상기 제1 및 제2기판을 구비하며, 선택이전에 보조신호에 의해서 한행의 화면표시소자들을 최대 광 전송상태(extreme optical transmission state)로 이동시키는 수단을 구비하는 화면표시장치에 있어서, 선택이전에 행선택주기이내에 상기 보조신호를 제공하고 부가의 행선택주기이내에 상기 한행의 화면표시소자들에 걸쳐서 보상전압을 제공하는 제어회로를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화면표시장치.
  13. 제10항, 제11항 또는 제12항에 있어서, 하나의 행선택 주기내에 관하여 상이한 연속의 행에 대한 상기 보상신호와 상기 선택신호가 서로에 대해서 오프셋되는 것을 특징으로 하는 화면표시장치.
  14. 제10항, 제12항 또는 제13항에 있어서, 상기 능동스위칭소자는 2극 스위칭소자인 것을 특징으로 하는 화면표시장치.
