Abstract

본 발명은, 염화수소를 산소함유가스로 산화하여 염소를 제조할 때 사용하는 향상된 촉매의 제조방법으로, 촉매는 주로 산화크롬으로 이루어지며, 낮은 산소함량 상태하에서 특히 장시간 사용할 수 있으며, 촉매의 활성은 쉽게 열화되지 않아, 즉 촉매는 오랜 수명을 지닌다. 또한, 이 제조법으로 얻은 촉매와, 이 촉매를 사용하여 염화수소에서 염소를 제조하는 방법도 개시하고 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 향상된 촉매의 제조방법은, 주성분으로서 산화크롬을 함유하는 촉매에 구리, 알카리금속 및 회토류금속을 첨가하거나, 크롬, 구리, 알카리금속 및 회토류금속을 첨가한 다음, 촉매를 800℃이하에서 소성하는 것으로 이루어진다.

Claims (11)

  1. 주성분으로서 산화크롬을 함유하는 촉매에 구리, 알카리금속 및 회토류금속을 첨가하거나, 크롬, 구리, 알카리금속 및 회토류금속을 첨가하여 얻은, 염화수소를 산소함유가스로 산화하여 염소를 제조하는 촉매.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 주성분으로서 산화크롬을 함유하는 촉매는, 크롬염과 암모니아 또는 암모니아를 방출할 수 있는 화합물과의 반응생성물과 실리콘화합물로 이루어진 혼합물을 800℃이하에서 소성하여 얻은 촉매인 것을 특징으로 하는 촉매.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 주성분으로서 산화크롬을 함유하는 촉매는 염화수소를 산화시켜 염소를 제조하는 촉매로서 이미 사용되었던, 활성이 열화된 촉매인 것을 특징으로 하는 촉매.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 알카리금속은 칼륨인 것을 특징으로 하는 촉매.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 회토류금속은 란타늄인 것을 특징으로 하는 촉매.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 구리, 칼륨 및 란타늄은 주성분으로서 산화크롬을 함유하는 촉매중의 크롬에 대해 각각 0.01~0.3, 0.005~0.2, 0.01~0.3의 원자비로 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 촉매.
  7. 제2항에 있어서, 소성후에 실리콘화합물은 이산화규소 형태로 존재하며, 산화크롬 대 이산화규소의 중량비는 5/95~95/5인 것을 특징으로 하는 촉매.
  8. 주성분으로서 산화크롬을 함유하는 촉매를 구리, 알카리금속 및 희토류금속을 함유하는 용액, 또는 크롬, 구리, 알카리금속 및 희토류금속을 함유하는 용액으로 함침하는 공정, 및 함침된 촉매를 800℃이하에서 소성하는 공정으로 이루어지는, 염화수소를 산소함유가스로 산화하여 염화수소에서 염소를 제조하는 촉매의 제조방법.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 주성분으로서 산화크롬을 함유하는 촉매를, 주성분으로서 산화크롬을 함유하는 촉매 1g에 대해 함침용용액 0.2~2㎖으로 함침하는 것을 특징으로 하는 촉매의 제조방법.
  10. 주성분으로서 산화크롬을 함유하는 촉매에 구리, 알카리금속 및 희토류 금속을 첨가하거나, 크롬, 구리, 알카리금속 및 희토류 금속을 첨가하여 얻은 촉매를 사용하는 공정으로 이루어지는, 염화수소를 산소함유가스로 산화하여 염소를 제조하는 방법.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 염화수소를 산소함유가스중의 산소와 반응시키고, 산소의 몰비는 염화수소 1몰에 대해 1/4~1인 것을 특징으로 하는 염소의 제조방법.
