Claims (4)
- 굴절율 분산 α와, 굴절율 이방성 △n 및 층두께 d의 곱인 △n·d, 및 비틀림 각도를 갖는 다수의 파라메타에 의해서 특징지워지는 비틀림 네마틱 액정 재료를 구비한 액정 셀수단과; 상기 액정 셀에 근접하게 배치되어 표시색을 보상하며, 굴절율 분산 α가 상기 액정 셀의 굴절율 분산 α와 △n·d의 값에 기초하여 설정되는 보상 수단을 포함하되, 상기 액정 셀로의 직선 편광된 입사광은 상기 액정셀을 통과한 후 타원형으로 편광된 광으로 변환되고, 상기 타원형으로 편광된 광은 상기 표시색을 보상하기 위해 상기 보상 수단을 통과한 후 직선 편광된 광으로 다시 변환되며, 그로써 가장 적합한 흑색과 백색 표시가 얻어지며, 상기 굴절율 분산α는 제1스팩트럼 파장에서의 △n과 제2스팩트럼 파장에서의 △n과의 비이고, 상기 액정셀 수단의 액정 재료는 약 90°내지 360°의 비틀림 각을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보상 수단은 0°내지 400°의 비틀림 각을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보상 수단의 층두께 d는 상기 액정 셀 수단의 층두께 d 보다도 두꺼운 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보상 수단의 △n·d의 값은 상기 액정 수단의 △n·d의 값보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 소자.
