Description

자동차의 측면 충돌시 탑승자의 머리를 보호할 수 있는 안전장치
제1도는 종래의 자동차 도어를 보인 일부절개 사시도.
제2도는 종래의 자동차 도어에 있어서 측면 충돌시 탑승자의 머리가 부딪히게 되는 부위를 보인 제1도의 a-a선 단면도.
제3도는 본 발명의 설치상태를 보인 사시도.
제4도는 a, b는 본 발명이 자동차의 측면 충돌시 작동된 상태를 보인 제3도의 x-x선 단면도.
제5도는 자동차의 측면 충돌사고가 발생하면 관성력에 의해 도어쪽으로 쏠리는 튜브.

본 발명은 자동차의 측면 충돌시 탑승자의 머리를 보호할 수 있는 안전장치에 관한 것으로 특히 자동차의 측면 충돌시 도어 글래스 내측으로 튜브가 팽창되어 튀어올라 탑승자의 머리가 도어 글래스에 직접 부딪히지 않게 해줌으로서 자동차 측면 충돌사고에 대한 자동차의 안정성을 향상시킬 수 있게 한것이다.
일반적으로 자동차에는 충돌사고를 대비한 안정장치로 에어백이 구비되어 있으며, 이것은 운전석과 조수석 전방에 설치되어 자동차의 정면 충돌시 순간적으로 팽창되어 튀어나와 탑승자를 보호해주는 역할을 하게된다.
그러나 상기 에어백은 탑승자의 전방에서 튀어나오기 때문에 자동차의 측면충돌시 관성에 의해 도어(a)의 글래스(b) 부위에 부딪히는 탑승자의 머리를 보호해 줄 수 없어 자동차 측면 충돌사고시에는 탑승자의 머리가 글래스(b) 부위에 부딪히고 도어(a) 밖으로 나오면서 치명적인 손상을 입게되는 문제점이 있었다.
또한 자동차의 측면 충돌사고시에는 탑승객이 안전 벨트를 매고 있는 경우라도 탑승자의 머리를 잡아줄 수 없어 관성에 의해 머리가 글래스(b) 부위에 부딪쳐 치명적인 손상을 입게되는 것을 막아줄 수 없기 때문에 자동차의 측면 충돌시 탑승자의 머리를 보호해줄 수 있는 안전장치가 절실히 요구되고 있는 실정이다.
본 발명은 이와같은 점을 감안하여 자동차의 측면 충돌사고시 도어의 상부에서 튜브가 글래스의 내측으로 팽창되어 튀어나올 수 있는 안전장치를 제공함으로서 탑승자의 머리가 글래스에 직접 부딪히지 않게 하여 자동차의 측면 충돌 사고시 탑승자를 안전하게 보호할 수 있게 하기 위한 것이다.
또한 본 발명의 다른 목적은 자동차의 측면 충돌시 변형되는 임팩트 비임에 공이돌봉을 형성하고, 상기 공이돌봉이 뇌관을 때릴 수 있게하여 작약을 폭발시킴으로서 도어 내부 패널의 상부에 접혀있는 튜브가 순간적으로 팽창하며 튀어나올 수 있게 하기 위한 것이다.
이하 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 첨부도면에 의거 상세히 설명하면 다음과 같다.
임팩트 비임(1)이 내설된 자동차 도어에 있어서, 상기 임팩트 비임(1)에 돌설된 공이돌봉(1a)과, 상기 공이돌봉(1a)과 대응하는 위치에 뇌관(3)을 갖는 작약통(2)과, 상기 작약통(2)에 채워진 작약(4)과, 상기 작약통(2)을 튜브(6)에 연결시키는 연결관(5)과, 상기 튜브(6)가 접힌 상태로 내설된 튜브 보관함(7)과, 상기 튜브 보관함(7)을 도어 내부 패널(10)의 상부에 고정시켜주는 우레탄 패드(8)와, 상기 튜브 보관함(7)을 덮여주는 덮개(9)로 구성된 것이다.
이와같이 된 본 발명의 안전장치는 제3도 및 제4도에 도시된 바와같이 도어에 내설되어 있으며, 도어 내부 패널(10)의 상부에 우레탄 패드(8)로 고정 설치된 튜브보관함(7)에는 튜브(6)가 접힌 상태로 내설되어있다.
상기 튜브 보관함(7)을 덮어주는 덮개(9)는 글래스런(11)쪽을 고정하여 튜브(6) 팽창시 글래스(12)쪽으로 열릴 수 있게 구성하는 것이 바람직하며 튜브(6)를 접는 방법은 공지의 에어백에 적용되는 기술을 적용할 수 있다.
상기 튜브(6)는 제4도에 도시된 바와같이 글래스(12)의 안쪽에 있는 도어 내부패널(10)의 상부에 설치되어 있기 때문에 글래스(12)를 올리고 내리는데 지장을 초래하지 않는다.
이렇게 튜브(6)가 구비된 도어는 자동차의 측면 충돌사고시 임팩트 비임(1)이 자동차 내부로 변형되는데, 임팩트비임(1)이 측면 충돌사고로 인하여 변형되면 제5도에 도시된 바와같이 공이돌봉(1a)이 대응되는 위치에 있는 뇌관(3)을 때려 작약(4)을 점화시키게 된다.
뇌관(3)을 공이돌봉(1a)이 때려 작약(4)을 폭발시키면 팽창된 공기가 작약통(2)에서 연결관(5)을 통해 튜브보관함(7)내에 접힌 상태로 설치된 튜브(6)에 유입되고, 이에 따라 튜브(6)가 팽창하게 된다.
튜브(6)가 팽창하게 되면 이 팽창력에 의해 덮개(9)가 글래스(12)쪽으로 젖혀지면서 열리고, 튜브(6)는 글래스(12)의 상부로 팽창되며 튀어나가게 된다.
자동차의 측면 충돌사고가 발생하면 상술한 작동이 거의 동시에 이루어지게 되며 관성력에 의해 도어쪽으로 쏠리는 탑승자의 머리는 글래스(12)에 부딪히지않고 글래스(12)의 상부로 팽창되며 튀어 나온 튜브(6)에 닿아 보호된다.
튜브(6)는 작약(4)의 폭발로 인하여 팽창된 공기가 유입되어 있기 때문에 충돌력을 완화시켜주는 완충재 역활을 하게 된다.
본 발명은 임팩트비임(1)의 변형에 의해서만 작동되기 때문에 자동차의 측면 충돌을 감지하는 별도의 수단이 필요없어 구성이 간편하여 도어의 내부공간에 충분히 설치할 수 있는 것이다.
이와같이 본 발명은 자동차의 측면 충돌 사고시 도어의 상부에서 튜브(6)가 글래스(11)의 내측으로 팽창되며 튀어나올 수 있는 안전장치를 제공하여 탑승자의 머리가 글래스(11)에 부딪히지 않고 팽창된 튜브(6)에 의해 보호될 수 있게 함으로서 자동차의 측면 충돌 사고에 대한 안전성을 보장할 수 있게 한 것이다.

Claims (2)

  1. 임팩트 비임(1)이 내설된 자동차 도어에 있어서, 상기 임팩트 비임(1)에 돌설된 공이돌봉(1a)과 상기 공이돌봉(1a)과 대응하는 위치에 뇌관(3)을 갖는 작약통(2)과, 상기 작약통(2)에 채워진 작약(4)과 상기 작약통(2)을 튜브(6)에 연결시키는 연결관(5)과, 상기 튜브(6)가 접힌 상태로 내설된 튜브 보관함(7)과,상기 튜브 보관함(7)을 도어 내부 패널(10)의 상부에 고정시켜주는 우페탄 패드(8)와, 상기 튜브 보관함(7을 덮어주는 덮개(9)로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 측면 충돌시 탑승자의 머리를 보호할 수 있는안전장치.
  2. 1항에 있어서, 상기 덮개(9)의 한쪽을 글래스런(11)에 고정하여 튜브(6) 팽창시 글래스(12)쪽으로 열릴 수 있게 한 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 측면 충돌시 탑승자의 머리를 보호할 수 있는 안전장치.
