Abstract

본 발명은 (i)소금물을 지르코늄-함유 화합물과 접촉하고, (ⅱ)황산염이 감소된 용액과 황산염 이온이 흡수된 지르코늄-함유 화합물로 분리하여, (ⅲ) 단계 (ⅱ)에서 얻어진 지르코늄-함유 화합물을 염기성 pH 상태에서 처리하여 황산염을 배출시키고, (iv)황산염이 풍부한 염기성 수용액과 황산염 이온이 실질적으로 제거된 지르코늄-함유 화합물로 분리하는 단계들을 포함하는, 소금물 용액으로 부터 황산염 이온의 분리방법으로서, 지르코늄-함유 화합물에 비건조된 겔화 침전물의 형태로서 존재하는 수화된 수산화 지르코늄임을 특징으로 하는 개선된 방법을 제공된다.
본 발명은 또한 겔화 침전물에 관한 것이다.

Claims (11)

  1. (i)소금물 용액을 산성 pH상태에서 지르코늄-함유 화합물과 접촉하고, (ⅱ)황산염 이온이 감소된 소금물 용액과 황산염 이온이 흡착된 지르코늄-함유 화합물로 분리하여, (ⅲ)단계 (ⅱ)에서 얻어진 지르코늄-함유 화합물을 염기성 pH상태에서 처리하여 황산염 이온을 탈착시키고, (iv)황산염 이온이 풍부한 염기성 수용액과 황산염 이온이 실질직으로 제거된 지르코늄-함유 화합물로 분리하는 단계들을 포함하는, 소금물 용액으로 부터 황산염 이온의 분리 방법으로서, 지르코늄-함유 화합물이 비건조된 겔화 침전물의 형태로서 존재하면서 화학식 Zr(OH)4ㆍxH2O(여기서, X는 4∼200이다)의 수화된 수산화 지르코늄임을 특징으로 하는 분리 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 지르코늄-함유 겔화 침전물의 화학식이 x가 12~100, 바람직하게는 12∼25인 Zr(OH)4ㆍxH2O인 방법.
  3. 제1항에 또는 제2항에 있어서, 겔화 침전물의 지르코늄 함량이 ZrO2의 중량을 기준으로 환산하여 5∼60중량%인 방법.
  4. 제1항 내지 제3항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계 (i)동안의 Zr/SO4, 몰비가 2∼20인 방법.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계 (i)의 PH가 1∼5, 바람직하게는 2∼4인 방법.
  6. 제l항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계 (ⅲ)의 pH가 7∼13, 바람직하게는 8∼11인 방법.
  7. 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계 (ⅱ)가 여과 또는 여과-세척단계인 방법.
  8. 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계(iv)가 여과-세척단계인 방법.
  9. 제1항 내지 제8항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 적용 온도가 20∼90℃범위인 방법.
  10. 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 지르코늄의 겔화 침전물을 단계 (i)로 재순환시키는 방법.
  11. 화학식 Zr(OH)4ㆍxH2O(여기서, x는 4∼200이다)의 지르코늄의 겔화 침전물.
