Claims (14)
- 연료탱크(126)으로부터 엔진으로 연료를 펌핑하기 위한 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치에 있어서, (a) 상기 장치로부터 엔진으로 이어지는 공급포트(32), (b) 저장용기(10)의 내부를 연료탱크(126)의 내부에 연결시키기 위한 개구부(14)를 포함하는 연료저장용기(10), (c) 연료탱크(126)내에 상기 용기(10)을 장착시키기 위한 수단(128,129), (d) 상기 개구부(14)의 구역내에서 상기 저장용기(10)내에 배치되면서 노즐(54) 및 상기 노즐과 정렬된 벤츄리 관(58)을 포함하여 노즐(54)로부터 벤츄리 관(58)을 관통한 연료의 유출이 개구부(14)를 관통한 저장용기(10)내부로의 연료의 도입을 유발하게 하는, 연료를 저장용기(10)내로 펌핑하기 위한 펌핑수단(30), (e) 저장용기(10)의 내부에 연결된 유입구 및 고압연료의 출력부를 갖는 고압펌프(26), (f) 상기 고압연료의 출력부의 제 1 부분을 공급포트(32)로 선회시키고 상기 고압연료의 출력부의 제 2 부분을 상기 펌핑수단(30)으로 선회시켜 이로인해 연료가 저장용기(10)으로부터 공급포트(32)를 관통하여 엔진으로 반송되도록 하고 또한 연료가 펌핑수단(30)을 관통하여 통과하는 연료에 의해 저장용기(10)내로 도입되도록 하는 수단(38, 130, 134, 156, 160, 162, 164) 및 (g) 엔진으로부터 복귀되는 연료를 수납하기 위해 저장용기(10)으로 이어지는 복귀포트(36)으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 복귀포트(36) 및 고압펌프(26)에 접속된 밸브(34)를 포함하고, 상기 밸브(34)는 펌프(26)이 작동중일때에는 개방되어 연료가 엔진 및 저장용기(10) 사이에서 통과될 수 있도록 하고 펌프(26)이 작동되지 않을때에는 폐쇄되어 연료가 엔진 및 저장용기(10) 사이에서 통과되지 않도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 밸브(34)가 다이어프램(62) 및 스프링(70)을 포함하고, 상기 다이어프램(62)는 밸브(34)가 폐쇄되는 제 1 위치와 밸브(34)가 개방되는 제 2 위치를 가지며, 상기 스프링(70)은 상기 다이어프램(62)를 압압하고 ; 또한 상기 장치는 고압연료 출력부의 일부분을 밸브(34)에 연결시켜 펌프가 작동중일때 상기 출력부의 일부분이 스프링(70)의 힘에 대항하여 상기 다이어프램(62)를 상기 제 2 위치로 이동 시킬 수 있도록 하는 수단(156, 158)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 고압펌프(26)에의 유입구(42)는 연료가 복귀포트(36)을 관통하여 엔진으로부터 저장용기(10)으로 복귀되는 높이보다 낮은 높이에서 저장용기(10)에 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 엔진으로부터 상기 복귀포트(36)을 관통하여 저장용기(10)으로 복귀되는 연료가 수평적으로 저장용기(10)내로 유입되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 펌핑수단(30)으로 부터의 배출구가 배플(72)에 의해 고압펌프(26)으로의 유입구로부터 격리되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 개구부(14)가 상기 저장용기(10)의 저부에 배치되며, 상기 고압연료 출력부의 제 1 부분은 상기 고압연료 출력부의 제 2 부분과 펌핑수단(30)에 의해 저장용기(10)내로 도입되는 연료량의 합산량보다 적게되어 공급포트(32)를 관통하여 저장용기(10)을 나가는 연료보다 많은 양의 연료가 개구부(14)를 관통하여 저장용기(10)내로 유입하게 되며 이로인해 저장용기(10)의 저부로부터 정부에 이르는 연료의 정미 유동을 창출하게 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.
- 연료탱크(126)으로부터 엔진으로 연료를 펌핑하기 위한 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치에 있어서, (a) 연료탱크(126)내에 배치되는 연료 저장용기(10), (b) 연료탱크(126)으로 부터 저장용기내로 연료를 펌핑하기 위한 제트펌프(30), (c) 저장용기(10)의 내부에 연결된 유입구(42) 및 압축연료의 출력부를 갖는, 저장용기(10)으로부터 엔진으로 연료를 펌핑하기 위한 제 1 수단(26), (d) 엔진으로부터 저장용기(10)으로 연료를 복귀시키기 위한 제 2 수단(136, 142) 및 (e) 상기 제트펌프를 가동시키기 위해, 엔진을 통하지 않고 제트펌프(30)을 관통하여 통과되게 되는 상기 압축연료 출력부의 일부분을 제트펌프(30)으로 직접적으로 선회시키기 위한 제 3 수단(156, 160, 164)로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 수단(26) 및 상기 제 2 수단(136, 142)와 접속된 밸브수단(34)를 포함하고, 상기 밸브수단(34)는 상기 제 1 수단(26)이 작동중일때에는 개방되어 연료가 엔진 및 저장용기(10) 사이에서 통과될 수 있도록 하고 상기 제 1 수단(26)이 작동되지 않을때에는 폐쇄되어 연료가 엔진 및 저장용기(10)사이에서 통과되지 않도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.
- 제 9 항에 있어서, (a) 상기 밸브수단(34)가 다이어프램(62) 및 스프링(70)을 포함하고, 상기 다이어프램(62)는 상기 밸브수단(34)가 폐쇄되는 제 1 위치와 상기 밸브수단(34)가 개방되는 제 2 위치를 가지며, 상기 스프링(70)은 상기 다이어프램(62)를 상기 제 1 위치로 압압하고, (b) 장치는 압축연료의 출력부의 일부분을 밸브수단(34)에 연결하여 상기 제 1 수단(26)이 작동중일때 압축연료의 출력부의 상기 일부분이 다이어프램(62)를 스프링(70)의 압압력에 대항하여 상기 제 2 위치로 이동시킬 수 있도록 하는 제 4 수단(156, 158)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.
- 제 8 항, 9 항 또는 10 항중의 어느한 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 수단(26)에의 유입구(42)는 연료가 제 2 수단(136, 142)에 의해 엔진으로부터 저장용기(10)으로 복귀되는 높이보다 낮은 높이에서 저장용기(10)에 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.

- 제 8 항, 9 항 또는 10항 중에서 어느한 항에 있어서, (a) 제트펌프(30)이 저장용기(10)의 저부내로 연료를 펌핑하고, (b) 제트펌프(30)이 상기 제 1 수단(26)이 엔진으로 펌핑하는 연료보다 많은 양의 연료를 저장용기(10)내로 펌핑하여, 저장용기(10)의 저부로부터 정부까지 연료의 정미유동을 창출하게 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료분사 엔진용 펌핑장치.
