Claims (6)

  1. (a) 겔투과 크로마토그래피 중의 체류 시간에 대하여 10,000이상의 분자량을 갖는 폴리스티렌에 상당하는 에폭시 수지 성분의 함량이 5몰%미만인 수평균 분자량 550∼1600의 에폭시수지, (b)다음 일반식:
    X-O-Y
    (식중,X는 폴리옥시알킬렌기이고, Y는 방향족기이다)의 적어도 1조의 에테르 화합물, 및(c)지방족1가 알콜의 불포화 지방산 에스테르 및 불포화 지방족 1가 알콜의 지방족 모노카르복실산 에스테르로 구성된 군으로 부터 선택된 에스테르 화합물을 성분(a)∼(c)의 종량을 기준으로하여 각각 55∼84%, 15∼35% 및 1∼25%의 양만큼 함유하는 사이즈 (sizing agent)로 코팅된 석유 피치-유도 탄소 섬유.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 성분(b)가 하기(b-1),(b-2) 및 (b-3):(b-1) 하기 일반식의 에테르;
    (식중,X는 상기 정의된 바와 같고, Z는 알킬렌기 또는 알케닐렌기이며, R1은 수소, 히드록실기 또는 알킬기이고, m은 1∼5의 정수이다).(b-2)하기 일반식의 에테르:
    (식중, X는 상기 정의된 바와 같고, R2는 알킬기이며,n은 1∼5의 정수이다), 및 (b-3) 폴리옥시알킬렌 및 중축합 고리 방향족 알콜의 에테르로 구성된 군으로부터 선택된 적어도 1종의 에테르 화합물인 탄소섬유.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 성분(b)가 에테르 화합물(b-1)과 에테르 화합물(b-2)와 에테르 화합물(b-2)의 혼합물인 탄소섬유.
  4. 석유피치로 부터 유도된 탄소섬유를 생산하는 단계; 상기 탄소 섬유를, (a) 겔투과크로마토그래피중의 체류 시간에 대하여 10,000이상의 분자량을 갖는 폴리스티렌에 상당하는 에폭시 수지 성분의 함량이 5몰%미만인 수평균 분자량 550∼1600의 에폭시 수지, (b) 일반식:
    X-O-Y
    (여기서, X는 폴리옥시알킬렌기이고, Y는 방향족기이다)의 적어도 1조의 에테르 화합물, 및(c) 지방족 1가알콜의 불포화 지방산 에스테르 및 불포화 지방족 1가 알콜의 지방족 모노카르복실산 에스테르로 구성된 군으로 부터 선택된 에스테르 화합물을 성분(a)∼(c)의 총량을 기준으로 하여 각각 55∼84%, 15∼35% 및 1∼25%의 양만큼 함유하는 수성 에멀션과 접촉시켜서 상기 탄소 섬유를 상기 수성 에멀션으로 코팅하는 단계; 및 상기 수성 에멀션 코팅물을 건조시키는 단계로 이루어지는 방법에 의해 수득된 제품.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 성분(b)rk gkrl (b-1),(b-2)및 (b-3)(b-1)하기 일반식의 에테르;
    (식중, X는 상기 정의된 바와 같고, Z는 알킬렌기 또는 알케닐렌기이며, R1은 수소, 히드록실기 또는 알킬기이고, m은 1∼5의 정수이다.)
    (b-2) 하기 일반식의 에테르;
    (식중, X는 상기 정의 된 바와 같고, R2는 알킬기이며, n은 1∼5의 정수이다), 및(b-3)폴리옥시알킬렌 및 중축합 고리 방향족 알콜의 에테르로 구성된 군으로부터 선택된 적어도 1종의 에테르 화합물인 제품.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 성분 (b)가 에테르 화합물(b-1)과 에테르 화합물(b-2)와의 혼합물 또는 에테르 화합물(b-2)와 에테르 화합물(b-3)와의 혼합물인 제품.
