본 발명은 굴곡기구를 구비한 케이블에 관한 것으로서, 특히 의료용 혹은 공업용 내시경 등의 광파이버센서 혹은 레이저메스에 적용하여 유용한 것이다.
의료용 혹은 공업용 내시경등의 광파이버센서에 있어서는 선단의 촬상부를 외부로부터의 조작에 의하여 소망의 방향으로 굴곡하여 소망의 화상을 포착할 필요가 있는 일이 많다. 이러한 요망에 따라서 개발된 제3도에 도시한 바와 같은 광파이버센서 케이블이 알려져 있다. 제3도에서는, 광파이버센서본체부(8)의 주위에 다수의 절륜(節輪) (6)을 삽통하고 각 절륜(6)은 각 절륜의 중앙부에 형성된 돌출지점부(7)에서 맞대도록 되어 있다. 또 각 절륜의 주위에는 복수개의 조작용 와이어(5)가 대칭으로 배치되어 있더, 한쪽을 조르고 다른쪽을 늘어지게 하므로서 광파이버 선단촬상부를 굴곡시켜서 소망의 방향으로 향하게 하는 구조를 구비하고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 구조의 광파이버센서에서는, 절륜(6)을 사용하기 때문에 본체가 굵게되는 결점이 있었다. 한편 최근에는, 광파이버센서의 본체인 이미지파이버는, 새로운 기술의 개발에 의하여, 극히 직경이 가늘고 또한 길이가 긴 것의 제작이 가능하게 되었다.
본 발명은, 이러한 종래기술의 결함에 비추어 이루어진 것으로 광파이버센서의 외경은 가늘고, 또한, 선단부를 소망의 방향으로 조작할 수 있는 비교적 간단하고 용이한 구조를 가진 굴곡기구를 구비한 광학적 케이블을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
즉, 본 발명에 의한 광파이버센서는, 선단촬상부를 굴곡시키기 위한 선단부구조에 대하여, 미리 소망의 굴곡반경으로 굴곡시키고, 이 굴곡형 광파이버센서를 굴곡 가요성이 풍부한 튜우브에 삽입하고, 이 굴곡 가요성이 풍부한 튜우브내를 액체 혹은 기체로 충만시켜, 이 액체 혹은 기체를 압축하므로서, 굴곡형 광파이버센서의 굴곡반경을 임의로 변화시킬 수 있는 것이다.
이하, 본 발명에 의한 굴곡기구를 구비한 광학적 케이블을 일실시예의 도면을 참조하면서 작용과 함께 설명한다. 제1도는 본 발명의 일실시예의 굴곡기구를 구비한 광학적 케이블의 개략을 도시한 종단면도, 제2도는 본 발명의 광학적 케이블의 선단부를 도시한 사시도이다. 제1도에서는, 광파이버센서본체(1)가 폴리에틸렌 등의 플라스틱, 실리콘고무등의 고무등으로 이루어진 굴곡 가요성이 풍부한 튜우브(3)내에 삽입되어 있다.
광파이버센서(1)는 미리 소망의 곡률반경으로 선단이 굴곡되어 있기 때문에, 튜우브(1)는 제1도의 실선으로 도시되는 형상으로되나 간극(2)내에 액체 혹은 기체를 충만시키면, 마개(4)에 의하여 선단부는 닫혀져 있기 때문에 간극의 내압은 상승하고, 그것에 따라(3) 및 (4)는 a 방향으로 굴곡한다. 이 기구에 의하여, 간극의 내압을 제어하므로서, 광파이버센서(1)의 굴곡상태를 변화시킬 수 있다.
이상의 실시예는 광파이버센서가 이미지파이버로 이루어진 광파이버센서의 경우에 대하여 설명했으나, CO2레이저광을 투과하는 AgBr 혹은 Agcl 등으로 이루어지는 에너지파이버를 이미지파이버와 함께 혹은 단독으로 삽통한 광학적 케이블에도 상술의 굴곡기구는 마찬가지로 적용할 수 있다. 에너지파이버를 가진 케이블선단부에 이와 같은 굴곡기구를 설치하면, 레이저광의 조사방향을 자유로 바꾸어 레이저광을 환부에 조사하여, 레이저치료를 실시할 수 있다.
본 발명에 의한 굴곡기구에 의하면, 액체 혹은 기체에 가하는 압력을 제어하므로서 광파이버센서의 선단부를 소망의 방향으로 향하게 할 수 있는 동시에, 종래의 절륜을 사용하는 것에 비하여 구조가 간단하게 되고 외경도 작게 되는 이점이 있다.

Claims (3)

  1. 광학적파이버와 이것을 피복하는 굴곡가요성이 풍부한 피복으로 이루어지는 광파이버센서의 선단부가, 미리 소망의 굴곡반경으로 굴곡되어서 굴곡가요성이 풍부한 튜우브에 삽입되어 있고, 상기 광학적파이버의 피복과 상기 튜우브사이에는 액체 혹은 기체가 가압 및 감압가능하게 충만되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 굴곡기구를 구비한 광학적 케이블.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광파이버센서가, 화상전송부와 조명광전송부로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 굴곡기구를 구비한 광학적 케이블.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 광파이버센서가 이미지파이버 및/혹은 에너지파이버로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 굴곡기구를 구비한 광학적 케이블.
