Claims (8)

  1. 제 1 광비임을 생성하는 광원, 제 1 광비임 통로상에 배열되고 투영될 영상을 생성하는 적어도 1개 영상표시 패널을 가진 반사 영상 표시 시스템, 영상 표시 시스템에 의해 생성된 영상을 투영 스크린상에 투영시키기 위해 영상 표시 시스템에서 발생하는 제 2 광비임 통로상에 배열된 투영 렌즈 시스템을 구비하는 영상 투영 장치에 있어서, 상기 광원과 영상 표시 시스템과의 사이 그리고 상기 영상 표시 시스템과 투영 렌즈시스템과의 사이에는 제 1 및 제 2 매체로의 비임-분할 전이부가 제공되고, 이들 매체는 상이한 굴절률을 가지며, 상기 전이부는 제 1 및 제 2 광비임중 한 비임이 상기 전이부에 의해 총반사되는 동시에 나머지 한 비임도 상기 전이부에 의해 전송되는 방식으로 배열되는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 투영 장치.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 비임-분할 전이부는 공기와 투명 물질간의 인터페이스에 의해 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 투영 장치.
  3. 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 비임-분할 전이부는 공기층이 프리즘의 두면사이에 존재하는 투명 프리즘 2개로 구성된 프리즘 시스템에 포함되는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 투영 장치.
  4. 상기 영상 표시 시스템이 영상 정보에 따라 제 2 광비임의 편광 방향을 변조시키는 제 1 항, 제 2 항 또는 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 광원에서 비임-분할 전이부까지의 방사통로와 상기 전이부에서 투영 렌즈 시스템까지의 방사통로에 편광-감지 비임 분할기를 제공해서 상기 광원에서 발생한 비임을 영상 표시 시스템에 입사될 2개의 비임 즉 서로 수직 관계로 편광된 서브 비임 2개로 분할하고 이 서브 비임들은 영상 정보에 따라 변조시킨후 재결합시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 투영 장치.
  5. 제 1 항, 제 2 항, 제 3 항 또는 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 영상 표시 시스템은 컬러-선택 소자와 합성 영상 표시 패널을 구비한 컬러 영상 표시 시스템이며, 상기 합성 영상 표시 패널은 그 내부의 영상 소자들이 그룹으로 분리되고, 각 그룹은 관련 그룹에 속해 있는 컬러-선택 소자들의 컬러와 일치하는 소정의 컬러로된 서브 영상을 생성시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 투영 장치.
  6. 제 5 항에 있어서, 상기 컬러-선택 소자들은 다수의 컬러-선택 비임 분할기에 의해 구성되어 광 비임을 따라 단색 서브비임 3개로 분할하고 단색 영상 정보에 따라 변조된 상기 서브 비임들을 하나의 단색 영상 정보-변조된 광비임으로 결합시키고, 각 서브 비임 통로에는 개별 영상 표시 패널이 제공되어 패널의 집약성 영상 소자들이 상기 영상 소자그룹을 구성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 투영 장치.
  7. 제 6 항에 있어서, 상기 컬러 영상 표시 시스템은 단일 영상 표시 패널을 포함하는데 상기 패널의 영상 소자들은 그룹별로 배열되고 각 그룹은 소정의 컬러로된 서브 영상을 생성하며, 각 영상 소자에는 컬러 필터가 제공되는데, 이 필터를 관련 영상 소자들이 속해있는 해당 그룹에 의해 생성될 서브 영상의 컬러와 일치하는 컬러의 광만을 전송하는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 투영 장치.
  8. 컬러 영상을 투영하기 위한 제 1 항, 제 2 항, 제 3 항 또는 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 광원은 해당수의 단색 광비임을 방사하는 다수의 단색 광원으로 구성되며, 상기 광원들은 단색 반사 영상 표시 패널과 비임-분할 전이부가 배열되어 있는 각 개별 처리 채널의 일부를 형성하며, 상기 투영 렌즈 시스템은 단색 영상 정보-변조된 광비임을 컬러 영상 정보-변조된 광비임과 결합시키기 위한 컬러-선택 소자 시스템 전방에 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 투영 장치.
