Claims (12)
- 구리 함유 재료를 조동 (blister copper) 으로 전환하는 방법으로서,
(a) 황화구리와 황화철을 포함하는 구리 함유 재료를 제공하는 단계로서, 상기 구리 함유 재료가 상기 구리 함유 재료의 전체 중량의 적어도 35 wt% 의 구리를 포함하는, 상기 구리 함유 재료를 제공하는 단계,
(b) 황화철과 황화구리의 산화를 실시하기 위하여, 용재 (flux) 의 부재 하에, 노 (furnace) 내의 상기 구리 함유 재료를 산소 함유 가스와 반응시키고, 또한 조동과 전로 슬래그 (converter slag) 를 수득하기 위하여 최종적인 전로 슬래그가 용융된 상태에 있도록 상기 산소 함유 가스의 주입 및 온도를 제어하는 단계를 포함하는, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
단계 (b) 에서, 산소 분압 (pO2) 은 1 ~ 100 ㎩, 바람직하게는 2 ~ 70 ㎩, 더 바람직하게는 10 ~ 30 ㎩ 인, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
단계 (b) 에서, 상기 온도는 적어도 1200 ℃, 바람직하게는 1220 ~ 1450 ℃, 더 바람직하게는 1300 ~ 1400 ℃ 인, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법. - 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
단계 (b) 에서, 상기 전로 슬래그 내의 산화된 구리의 농도는 상기 전로 슬래그의 전체 중량의 적어도 30 wt%, 바람직하게는 30 ~ 90 wt%, 더 바람직하게는 35 ~ 70 wt%, 가장 바람직하게는 40 ~ 60 wt% 인, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법. - 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
수득된 블리스터의 황 농도는 블리스터 내에서 0.15 % 미만의 S 이고, 바람직하게는 블리스터 내에서 0.06 ~ 0.10 % 의 S 인, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법. - 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 구리 함유 재료는 상기 구리 함유 재료의 전체 중량의 적어도 35 wt%, 바람직하게는 40 ~ 78 wt%, 더 바람직하게는 55 ~ 75 wt% 의 구리를 포함하는, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법. - 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 구리 함유 재료는 매트 (matte), 화이트 메탈 (white metal) 및 이들의 혼합물들로부터 선택되는, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법. - 제 1 항 내지 제 7 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
전환 단계 (b) 는 부유 용련 (suspension smelting) 또는 욕 용련 (bath smelting) 으로서, 특히 부유 용련으로서 실시되는, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법. - 제 1 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
전환은 플래시 전로 (FCF) 에 의해 달성되는, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법. - 제 1 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
전환은 Pierce-Smith 전로 (PS) 에 의해 달성되는, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법. - 제 1 항 내지 제 10 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
산소 함유 가스는 산소 부화 공기, 순수 산소 및 이들의 임의의 혼합물들, 바람직하게는 산소 부화 공기인, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법. - 제 1 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
이산화규소 (SiO2), 산화칼슘 (CaO), 및 탄산칼슘 (CaCO3) 이 단계 (b) 에서 용재로서 존재하지 않은, 구리 함유 재료를 조동으로 전환하는 방법.
