를 만족하며,
상기 식 (4) 중, Re(λ) 는 파장 λnm에서의 면내 리타데이션 (nm) 을 의미하는, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 프론트측 편광자와 상기 VA 모드 액정 셀 사이에 배치되는 1층 이상의 위상차층들로 구성되는 프론트측 위상차 영역을 더 포함하고,
상기 프론트측 위상차 영역이 하기 식 (5) 및 식 (6):
(5) 30nm≤Re(550)≤90 nm, 및
(6) 170nm≤Rth(550)≤300nm
를 만족하는, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 리어측 위상차 영역이 하기의 2개의 식들:
|Rth(450)|/|Rth(550)|≤1, 및
1≤|Rth(630)|/|Rth(550)|
을 만족하는, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 리어측 위상차 영역이 셀룰로오스 아실레이트계 필름으로 형성되거나 또는 셀룰로오스 아실레이트계 필름을 포함하는, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 리어측 위상차 영역이 아크릴계 폴리머 필름으로 형성되거나 또는 아크릴계 폴리머 필름을 포함하는, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 6 항에 있어서,
상기 리어측 위상차 영역이 락톤 고리 단위들, 무수 말레산 단위들 및 무수 글루타르산 단위들로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종의 단위를 갖는 아크릴계 폴리머를 포함하는 아크릴계 폴리머 필름으로 형성되거나, 또는 상기 아크릴계 폴리머 필름을 포함하는, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 리어측 위상차 영역이 시클릭 올레핀계 폴리머 필름으로 형성되거나 또는 시클릭 올레핀계 폴리머 필름을 포함하는, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 프론트측 위상차 영역이 1매의 이축성 폴리머 필름으로 형성되거나 또는 1매의 이축성 폴리머 필름을 포함하는, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 프론트측 위상차 영역이 1매의 일축성 폴리머 필름을 포함하는, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 9 항에 있어서,
상기 1매의 이축성 폴리머 필름이 셀룰로오스 아실레이트계 필름 또는 시클릭 올레핀계 폴리머 필름인, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 10 항에 있어서,
상기 1매의 일축성 폴리머 필름이 셀룰로오스 아실레이트계 필름 또는 시클릭 올레핀계 폴리머 필름인, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
정면 콘트라스트비가 1500 이상인, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
독립적인 삼원색들을 순차적으로 방출하는 백라이트 유닛을 포함하고, 필드 시퀀셜 구동 방식에 따라 구동되는, VA 모드 액정 표시 장치.
