- 수술용 패스너(surgical fastener)들을 분배하도록 구성되는 어플리케이터 기구(applicator instrument)를 위한 발사 시스템(firing system)으로서,
하우징;
상기 하우징으로부터 연장하는 긴 샤프트(elongated shaft);
상기 긴 샤프트 내에 배치되는 발사 로드(firing rod);
발사 사이클의 적어도 하나의 단계 동안 상기 발사 로드의 원위로의 이동을 방지하기 위해 상기 발사 로드와 결합가능한 발사 로드 해제부(firing rod release);

상기 어드밴서를 상기 긴 샤프트의 상기 원위 단부를 향해 이동시키기 위해 상기 트리거를 압축하는 단계로서, 상기 원위로 이동하는 어드밴서는 상기 수술용 패스너들의 각각을 상기 긴 샤프트의 상기 원위 단부에 더 가까운 일 위치(one position)로 이동시키는, 상기 트리거를 압축하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는, 방법.
