Claims (24)
- 실질적으로 타원형 단면과 반사 내표면을 갖는 실질적으로 원통형 공동으로서, 상기 공동은 제1 라인 초점, 제2 라인 초점 및 상기 제1 라인 초점과 제2 라인 초점을 가로지르는 장축을 한정하고, 상기 제2 라인 초점은 경화축을 한정하는 것인 공동과,
UV 복사선에 대해 실질적으로 투과성이고 경화축을 둘러싸는 보호 튜브와,
상기 제1 라인 초점에서 상기 공동 내에 배치되는 UVLED 소스를 포함하며,
상기 UVLED 소스는, (i)평균 방출 라인(Lavg)을 한정하는 방출 패턴을 가지며, (ii)장축과 Lavg 사이에 약 30도 내지 100도의 방출각(α)을 갖는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공동은 타원형 단면을 갖는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보호 튜브는 석영 튜브인 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 UVLED 소스는 단일의 UVLED인 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 UVLED 소스는 복수 개의 UVLED를 포함하는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 복수 개의 UVLED는 상이한 출력 강도로 전자기 복사선을 방출하는 적어도 두 개의 UVLED를 포함하는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공동 내에 배치되는 복수 개의 UVLED 소스를 포함하는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 복수 개의 UVLED 소스는 상이한 출력 강도로 전자기 복사선을 방출하는 적어도 두 개의 UVLED 소스를 포함하는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 UVLED 소스에 의해 방출되는 전자기 복사선의 적어도 90 퍼센트는 약 250 나노미터 내지 400 나노미터의 파장을 갖는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 UVLED 소스에 의해 방출되는 전자기 복사선의 적어도 80 퍼센트는 약 300 나노미터 내지 450 나노미터의 파장을 갖는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 UVLED 소스에 의해 방출되는 전자기 복사선의 적어도 80 퍼센트는 약 375 나노미터 내지 425 나노미터의 파장을 갖는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 UVLED 소스는 주로 약 395 나노미터 내지 415 나노미터의 파장의 전자기 복사선을 방출하는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 UVLED 소스에 의해 방출되는 전자기 복사선의 적어도 80 퍼센트는 30 나노미터 범위 내의 파장을 갖는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치.

상기 제1 장치의 제2 라인 초점은 제2 장치의 제2 라인 초점과 동일한 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 시스템. - 실질적으로 타원형 단면과 반사 내표면을 갖는 실질적으로 원통형 공동으로서, 상기 공동은 제1 라인 초점, 제2 라인 초점 및 상기 제1 라인 초점과 제2 라인 초점을 가로지르는 장축을 한정하고, 상기 제2 라인 초점은 경화축을 한정하는 것인 공동과,
UV 복사선에 대해 실질적으로 투과성이고 경화축을 둘러싸는 보호 튜브와,
상기 공동 내에 배치되는 UVLED 소스와,
상기 UVLED 소스로부터의 UV 복사선을 상기 제1 라인 초점을 향해 집속하는 렌즈를 포함하며,
상기 렌즈는 상기 공동 내에 배치되고,
상기 렌즈는, (i)평균 방출 라인(Lavg)을 한정하는 방출 패턴을 제공하고, (ii)장축과 Lavg 사이에 약 30도 내지 120도의 방출각(α)을 갖는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치. - 실질적으로 타원형 단면과 반사 내표면을 갖는 실질적으로 원통형 공동으로서, 상기 공동은 제1 라인 초점, 제2 라인 초점 및 상기 제1 라인 초점과 제2 라인 초점을 가로지르는 장축을 한정하고, 상기 제2 라인 초점은 경화축을 한정하는 것인 공동과,
UV 복사선에 대해 실질적으로 투과성이고 경화축을 둘러싸는 보호 튜브와,
UVLED 소스와,
제1 단부 및 제2 단부를 갖는 광섬유를 포함하며,
상기 광섬유의 제1 단부는 상기 UVLED 소스에 결합되고,
상기 광섬유의 제2 단부는 상기 제1 라인 초점에서 상기 공동 내에 배치되고, 상기 광섬유의 제2 단부는, (i)평균 방출 라인(Lavg)을 한정하는 방출 패턴을 제공하며, (ii)장축과 Lavg 사이에 약 30도 내지 150도의 방출각(α)을 갖는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 장치. - 실질적으로 타원형 단면과 반사 내표면을 갖는 실질적으로 원통형 공동을 제공하는 단계로서, 상기 공동은 (i)제1 라인 초점, (ii)제2 라인 초점 및 (iii) 상기 제1 라인 초점과 제2 라인 초점을 가로지르는 장축을 한정하는 것인 단계와,
불완전하게 경화된 코팅을 갖는 유리 섬유를 상기 제2 라인 초점을 따라 상기 원통형 공동을 통과시키는 단계와,
UV 복사선을 상기 제1 라인 초점으로부터 약 30도 내지 100도의 방출각(α)으로 지향시키는 단계를 포함하며,
상기 방출각(α)은 UV 복사선 평균 방출 라인(Lavg)과 공동의 장축 사이의 각도에 의해 한정되는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 방법. - 제19항에 있어서, UV 복사선의 적어도 일부를 유리 섬유를 향해 상기 공동의 반사 내표면에서 반사시키는 단계를 포함하는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 방법.
- 제20항에 있어서, 상기 반사 단계는 경화를 촉진시키도록 유리 섬유의 불완전하게 경화된 코팅에 의해 UV 복사선의 흡수를 실행하는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 UV 복사선을 지향시키는 단계는 UV 복사선을 UVLED 소스로부터 방출시키는 단계를 포함하는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 방법.
- 제22항에 있어서, 상기 UV 복사선을 UVLED 소스로부터 방출시키는 단계는 상기 제1 라인 초점에 배치된 UVLED 소스로부터 UV 복사선을 방출시키는 단계를 포함하는 코팅된 유리 섬유의 경화 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 방출각(α)은 이하의 식에 의해 정의되고,
α≥θsource/2 + arctan(rtube/(2f)),
