Abstract
Description
Claims (17)
- CBN 입자 덩어리(mass)를 내화재 물질 층을 형성할 수 있는 물질과 접촉시켜 배치함으로써 반응물 덩어리를 생성하는 단계, 및 상기 반응물 덩어리를, CBN 콤팩트를 형성하기에 적합한 고온 및 고압 조건으로 처리하는 단계를 포함하는, 표면에 내화재 물질 층이 결합된 CBN 콤팩트의 제조 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,내화재-형성 물질이, 상기 CBN 입자 덩어리와 접촉되는 층으로서 제공되는, 방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 층이 응착성(coherent) 미소성(green) 상태의 형태인, 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 내화재 물질이 탄화물, 붕소화물, 탄소질화물, 질화물, 산화물 및 규화물로부터 선택되는, 방법.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 탄화물, 탄소질화물, 질화물, 붕소화물, 산화물 또는 규화물이 4족, 5 족 및 6족 금속, 알루미늄 및 규소로부터 선택되는 금속으로 된 것인, 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 내화재 물질이 결합제를 함유하는, 방법.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 결합제가 전이 금속인 구리, 알루미늄, 규소 및 상기 금속들을 함유하는 합금 및 화합물로부터 선택되는, 방법.
- 제 6 항 또는 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 결합제가 상기 내화재 물질의 20 부피% 미만의 양으로 존재하는, 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 반응물 덩어리가, CBN 입자 덩어리를 내화재-형성 물질로 된 용기에 배치함으로써 생성되고, 이때 상기 용기의 적어도 일부가 고온 및 고압 조건 하에서 상기 반응물 덩어리 중의 CBN 입자와 반응하여 상기 CBN 콤팩트 상에 내화재 물질 층을 형성하는, 방법
- 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 용기가 티탄, 니오븀, 텅스텐, 몰리브덴, 알루미늄, 하프늄, 철, 니켈, 코발트, 크롬, 바나듐, 지르코늄 및 탄탈로부터 선택되는 금속 또는 상기 금속을 함유하는 합금으로 제조되는, 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 10 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 CBN 콤팩트에 결합된 내화재-형성 물질 층이 300 미크론 이하의 두께를 갖는, 방법.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,상기 내화재-형성 물질 층이 30 내지 300 미크론 범위의 두께를 갖는, 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 12 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 CBN 입자 덩어리가 상기 반응물 덩어리에 응착성 미소성 상태의 형태로 존재하는, 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 13 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 반응물 덩어리 중의 CBN 입자 덩어리가 미립자 형태의 제 2 상 물질과 혼합되는, 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 14 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 고온 및 고압 조건이 1100℃ 이상의 온도 및 2 GPa 이상의 압력인, 방 법.
- 제 15 항에 있어서,상기 고온 및 고압 조건을 3 내지 120 분의 기간 동안 유지하는, 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 실시예들 중 어느 하나와 관련하여 본원에 기술된 바와 실질적으로 같은, 방법.
