Claims (9)
- 음극 제한 용량의 리튬 이차전지용 양극 활물질로서, (i) 스피넬 구조의 리튬 망간계 산화물("스피넬 리튬 망간 산화물"로 약칭)과 (ii) 충전 구간 중 가스가 발생하는 평탄 준위 구간을 갖는 전극 활물질("평탄 준위 구간을 갖는 전극 활물질"로 약칭)을 포함하는 것으로 구성되어 있는 양극 활물질.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 리튬 망간계 산화물은 50 ~ 90 중량%이고, 상기 리튬 금속 산화물은 10 ~ 50 중량%인 것을 특징으로 하는 양극 활물질.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 스피넬 구조의 리튬 망간계 산화물은 하기 화학식 1로서 표시되는 것을 특징으로 하는 양극 활물질:Li1 + xMn2 -x- yMyO4 (1)상기 식에서,0 ≤ x ≤ 0.2 이고, 0 ≤ y ≤ 0.1 이며, M 은 Al, Mg, Ni, Co, Fe, Ti, V, Zr 및 Zn로 이루어지는 군에서 선택된 1 종 이상의 원소이다.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 리튬 망간계 산화물은 x 와 y 가 0 인 LiMn2O4 인 것을 특징으로 하는 양극 활물질.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 충전 구간 중 가스가 발생하는 평탄 준위 구간을 갖는 전극 활물질은 하기 화학식 2로서 표시되는 것을 특징으로 하는 양극 활물질.XLi(Li1 /3M2 /3)O2 + YLiM'O2 의 고용체(solid solution) (2)상기 식에서,M = 4+의 산화수를 가지는 금속 중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 원소이고; M' = 전이 금속에서 선택된 1종 이상의 원소이며;0 < X < 1 이고, 0 < Y < 1 이며, X + Y = 1이다.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 평탄 준위 구간을 갖는 전극 활물질은 M은 Mn, Sn 및 Ti 금속 중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 원소이고, M'은 Ni, Mn, Co 및 Cr 금속 중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 원소인 것을 특징으로 하는 양극 활물질.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 평탄 준위 구간을 갖는 전극 활물질은 평탄 준위 구간이 4.4 ~ 4.8 V 인 것이 특징으로 하는 양극 활물질.
- 제 1 항에 따른 양극 활물질을 평탄 준위 이상까지 충전하는 단계; 및 가스를 제거하는 단계를 포함하는 리튬 이차전지의 제조방법.
- 제 8 항에 따른 방법으로 제조된 리튬 이차전지.
