Abstract
Description
Claims (16)
- 제 1 표시체와 관찰점 사이에 제 2 표시체를 배치하여 이루어지는 복합 표시 장치에 있어서, 제 2 표시체가 전압 무인가시에 빛을 투과하고, 전압 인가시에 빛을 산란하는 전기 광학 소자로 이루어지고, 전압 무인가시의 광선 투과율이 80% 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,산란시의 헤이즈값이 80% 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 표시체는 미러 또는 계기인 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 표시체는 인물 또는 물체인 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 표시체가 복수 적층 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,복수의 제 2 표시체의 표시 패턴이 동일하고, 일방의 제 2 표시체가 표시 상태에 있는 경우에는 타방의 제 2 표시체는 비표시 상태인 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 전기 광학 소자는 투명 전극이 부착된 한쌍의 기판 사이에 복합체층을 끼운 것이고, 복합체층은 액정과 그 액정에 용해 가능한 경화성 화합물의 경화물을 포함하는 액정/경화 수지 복합체로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 7 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 전기 광학 소자의 주연 (周緣) 의 외부 회로와의 접속 부분을 제외한 부분이 투명한 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,조명 수단을 구비하고, 배터리에 의해 상기 전기 광학 소자의 구동 전압이 공급되는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 9 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 전기 광학 소자의 표면에 반사 방지막 또는 자외선 차단막이 구비된 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 10 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 전기 광학 소자는, 투명한 전극이 부착된 한쌍의 기판 사이에 액정과 그 액정에 용해 가능한 경화성 화합물의 경화물로 이루어지는 복합체층이 끼워지고, 상기 복합체층 안에 접착성 스페이서가 배치되어 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 전기 광학 소자를 조명하는 광원이 형성되고,상기 광원은 2 이상의 광원색을 발하고,상기 광원은 광원색을 차례로 발색하고, 각 광원색의 점등 주파수가 40㎐ 이상이고, 하나 또는 복수의 광원색의 상기 전기 광학 소자로의 조명에 연동하여 상기 전기 광학 소자의 표시면의 적어도 일부를 광산란 상태로 하고, 상기 하나 또는 복수의 광원색에 따른 표시색을 얻는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 광원이 적색, 청색, 녹색을 단독으로 발색 가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 12 항 또는 제 13 항에 있어서,표시색이 8 색 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 14 항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 복합 표시 장치의 구동 방법으로서,상기 광원의 광원색의 변화와, 상기 전기 광학 소자의 표시 상태를 연동시키는 필드 시퀀셜 구동 방법을 사용하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 15 항에 있어서,적어도, 자동차의 속도 표시에 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 표시 장치의 구동 방법.
