Claims (4)
- 초기화 구간과 기입 구간 및 유지 구간으로 분류된 다수의 서브 필드에 의하여 한 프레임을 구성하여 계조 표시를 수행하는 교류형 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동 방법에 있어서,상기 한 프레임을 구성하는 첫번째 서브 필드의 초기화 전압과 두번째 이후 서브 필드의 초기화 전압의 상대적인 전압값이 서로 동일한 구동 파형을 인가하여 초기화 방전에 의해 유지, 주사, 어드레스 전극의 각 유전체 위에 축적되는 벽전하의 양을 동일하게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 교류형 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널 구동 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 첫번째 서브 필드는 유지 전극과 주사 전극의 보호막 표면에 축적된 벽전압이 소정의 방전개시전압을 초과하여 방전 개시됨에 따라 유지, 주사, 어드레스 전극에 방전을 발생하여 벽전압을 발생시키고, 두번째 서브 필드는 PDP 셀 내부의 벽전압을 이용하여 유지 전극과 주사 전극 사이에 유지 방전을 발생시켜 어드레스 전극의 방전을 유도해서 동일한 크기의 벽전압 분포를 발생시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 교류형 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널 구동 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 첫번째 서브 필드의 초기화 파형은 AC형 PDP 패널을 처음 구동할 때에만 인가하고, 두번째 이후 서브 필드의 초기화 구간에서는 두번째 서브필드의 초기화 파형과 동일한 구동 파형을 인가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 교류형 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널 구동 방법.
- 제 1항 또는 3항에 있어서,상기 초기화 구간에 인가되는 구동 파형은, 한 프레임을 구성하는 각 서브 필드마다 초기화 구간에서의 방전이 동일한 크기의 전압값을 갖도록 인가하여, 동일한 크기의 상대적인 벽전하를 유지, 주사, 어드레스 전극의 각 유전체 위에 충전시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 교류형 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널 구동 방법.
