Claims (10)
- 행렬 형상으로 배치된 복수의 화소 전극, 상기 화소 전극에 대응하여 배치된 복수의 유지 회로, 상기 유지 회로에 소정의 전압을 공급하는 전원선을 포함하고, 상기 유지 회로가 유지하는 데이터에 부합한 전압이 상기 화소 전극에 공급되어 표시를 행하는 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치에 있어서,상기 전원선은 행렬 중의 어느 한 방향으로 연장되고, 상기 한 방향으로 배열되는 화소 전극에 대응하는 유지 회로에서 공용됨과 함께, 행렬 중의 다른 방향에 인접하는 화소 전극에 대응하는 유지 회로에서 공용되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
- 행렬 형상으로 배치된 화소 전극과, 행 방향으로 배치된 복수의 게이트 신호선과, 열 방향으로 배치된 복수의 드레인 신호선을 포함하고, 상기 화소 전극은 상기 게이트 신호선으로부터의 주사 신호에 의해 선택됨과 함께 상기 드레인 신호선으로부터 영상 신호가 공급되는 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치에 있어서,상기 게이트 신호선으로부터 입력되는 주사 신호에 의해 선택된 화소 전극에 상기 드레인 신호선으로부터의 영상 신호에 부합한 신호를 공급하는 제1 표시 회로와,소정의 전압이 공급되고, 상기 게이트 신호선으로부터 입력되는 주사 신호에 응답하여 상기 드레인 신호선으로부터의 영상 신호를 유지하는 유지 회로를 포함하고, 상기 유지 회로로부터의 신호에 부합한 신호를 상기 표시 전극에 공급하는 제2 표시 회로와,회로 선택 신호에 응답하여, 상기 제1 및 제2 표시 회로를 선택적으로 상기 드레인 신호선에 접속하기 위한 회로 선택 회로를 포함하고,상기 유지 회로에 소정의 전압을 공급하는 전원선은, 행렬 중의 어느 한 방향으로 연장되고, 상기 한 방향으로 배열되는 화소 전극에 대응하는 유지 회로에서 공용됨과 함께, 행렬 중의 다른 방향에 인접하는 복수의 화소에서 공유되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 유지 회로의 각각에는 행렬 중의 어느 한 방향으로 연장되고, 서로 다른 구동 전압을 공급하는 적어도 2개의 구동 전원선이 접속되고,상기 구동 전원선 중의 적어도 1개는 행렬의 다른 방향에 인접하는 복수의 화소에서 공유되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상호 인접하는 화소에서 공유된 상기 구동 전원선을 한쪽의 화소의 화소 전극에 용량 결합시킴과 함께, 상기 구동 전원선이 다른쪽의 화소의 화소 전극에 용량 결합하도록 확장된 영역을 형성한 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스 표시 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상호 인접하는 화소에서 공유된 상기 구동 전원선을 한쪽의 화소의 화소 전극 상에 중첩시킴과 함께, 상기 구동 전원선을 다른쪽의 화소의 화소 전극 상에 확장시켜 이루어진 중첩 영역을 형성한 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스 표시 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 유지 회로의 각각에는 행렬 중의 어느 한 방향으로 연장되고, 서로 다른 참조 전압을 공급하는 적어도 2개의 참조 전원선이 접속되고,상기 유지 회로는 유지한 데이터에 기초하여 상기 참조 전압을 선택하여 상기 화소 전극에 공급하고,상기 참조 전원선 중의 적어도 1개는 행렬 중의 다른 방향에 인접하는 복수의 화소에서 공유되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서,상호 인접하는 화소에서 공유된 상기 참조 전원선을 한쪽의 화소의 화소 전극에 용량 결합시킴과 함께, 상기 참조 전원선이 다른쪽의 화소의 화소 전극에 용량 결합하도록 확장된 영역을 형성한 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스 표시 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서,상호 인접하는 화소에서 공유된 상기 참조 전원선을 한쪽의 화소의 화소 전극 상에 중첩시킴과 함께, 상기 참조 전원선을 다른쪽의 화소의 화소 전극 상에 확장시켜 이루어진 중첩 영역을 형성한 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스 표시 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 공유되는 전원선은 모든 유지 회로에 대하여 동일한 전압을 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 공유되는 전원선은 상기 행렬 중의 다른 방향에 인접하는 화소 사이 부근에 배치되고,상기 행렬 중의 다른 방향에 인접하는 화소에서의 상기 유지 회로의 배치는, 상기 행렬 중의 다른 방향에 인접하는 화소 사이를 축으로 하여 혹은 중심으로 하여 상기 공유되는 전원선을 사이에 두고 대칭으로 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
