Abstract

본 발명은 차량전조등의 조사각확대장치에 관한 것으로, 전조등의 반사경 양단에 회동가능한 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경을 설치해서 해당하는 차량의 조향각에 대응하여 그 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경을 회동시켜 그 차량의 회전방향의 전방향이 조명되도록 하기 위해, 전조등의 반사경(16)의 양단에 대응하는 회동축(20a,20b)에 의해 회동가능하게 설치되는 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)과, 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)을 회전시키기 위한 정/역회전이 가능한 전동모터(24) 및 그 전동모터(24)의 축에 결합된 전동기어(26), 상기 전동기어(26)를 매개하여 전달되는 상기 전동모터(24)의 정/역회전을 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)의 회동축에 대응적으로 설치된 종동기어(22a,22b)에 전달하는 랙기어(28), 상기 전동모터(24)를 상기 차량의 회전방향으로 구동해서 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)이 그 차량의 회전방향을 향해 회동되도록 하는 제어유니트(30)를 갖추어 구성되고, 상기 제어유니트(30)에는 상기 차량의 조향각을 검출하는 조향각검출센서(38)와 그 조향각검출센서(38)에 의해 검출된 상기 차량의 조향각이 기준각을 초과하면 상기 전동모터(24)의 정회전 또는 역회전을 제어하기 위한 제어부(34)를 포함해서 구성된 것이다.

Description

차량전조등의 조사각확대장치
본 발명은 차량전조등의 조사각확대장치에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 차량전조등의 반사경의 일부를 조향컬럼의 회전각에 대응해서 차량진행방향으로 회동시켜 차량의 진행방향에 대한 조명이 가능하도록 하기 위한 차량전조등의 조사각확대장치에 관한 것이다.
주지된 바와 같이, 전체의 차량에는 주변의 조도가 낮은 경우 또는 야간의 운행시에 그 차량의 전방향을 조명하기 위한 1조의 전조등이 구비된다. 그 전조등은 통상적으로 차량내부에 갖추어지는 소위 '콤비네이션레버'의 조작에 따라 배터리에서 전원이 인가되어 작동된다. 그 전조등은 후방커버에 고정적으로 결합되는 램프와, 그 램프에서 발광되는 광비임을 전방향으로 반사시키는 반사경, 그 후방케이싱의 전방을 커버링하는 투명글래스재질의 전방커버로 이루어지게 된다.
그러한 전조등에 따르면 램프에서 발광된 광비임이 반사경에서 반사되는 광비임성분을 포함해서 전방향으로 조명되어 그 차량의 진행방향의 가시거리를 확보할 수 있도록 작용하게 된다.
그러나, 그러한 전조등은 대개 차체의 전방에 고정적으로 설치됨으로 말미암아 예컨대 차량이 죄회전이나 우회전을 하는 경우 또는 코너링을 하는 경우에도 전조등의 광비임은 그 차량의 전방부분만을 조명하기 때문에 운전자는 회전하려는 방향의 전방시계를 미리 확보하지 못하게 된다는 불리함이 있게 된다.
그러한 점을 고려해서, 최근에는 전조등을 차체의 기울기에 기초하여 자동으로 선회시켜 운전자의 시계확보범위를 확장시켜주는 구성이 제안된 상태이다. 즉, 그 전조등의 회동구성에 의하면 차체의 기울기센서에서 검출되는 차량의 기울기에 의거해서 전조등을 상하 또는 좌우방향으로 회동시켜주게 되고, 그에 따라 운전자는 차체가 기울어지는 경우에도 보다 양호하게 전방시계를 확보할 수 있게 된다.
하지만, 전조등의 회동방식에 의한 구성에서는 차체의 기울기에 의거해서 전조등의 전체를 회동시켜주어야만 되기 때문에 배터리의 소비전력면에서 불리하게 되고, 또한 그 전조등을 전체적으로 회동시켜주기 위한 메카니즘이 필요하게 되어 구성이 복잡하게 된다는 불리함이 있게 된다.
본 발명은 상기한 사정을 감안하여 이루어진 것으로, 전조등에 구비되는 반사경의 양단 일부를 회동가능한 형태로 해서 차량의 조향각에 적응적으로 그 반사경을 회동시켜 줌으로써 차량의 회전시에도 운전자가 그 진행하려는 방향의 시계를 미리 확보할 수 있도록 전조등의 조사각을 확장시켜 주기 위한 차량전조등의 조사각확대장치를 제공함에 그 목적이 있다.
상기한 목적을 달성하기 위해, 본 발명의 바람직한 예에 따르면 후방커버와 전방커버의 내부에 램프와 그 램프의 광비임을 전방향으로 반사하는 반사경으로 이루어진 1조의 전조등을 갖춘 차량에 있어서, 상기 반사경의 양단에 대응하는 회동축에 의해 회동가능하게 설치되는 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경과, 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경을 회전시키기 위한 정/역회전이 가능한 전동모터 및 그 전동모터의 축에 결합된 전동기어, 상기 전동기어를 매개하여 전달되는 상기 전동모터의 정/역회전을 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경의 회동축에 대응적으로 설치된 종동기어에 전달하는 랙기어, 상기 전동모터를 상기 차량의 회전방향으로 구동해서 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경이 그 차량의 회전방향을 향해 회동되도록 하는 제어유니트를 갖추어 구성된 차량전조등의 조사각확대장치가 제공된다.
바람직하게, 상기 제어유니트에는 상기 차량의 조향각을 검출하는 조향각검출센서와 그 조향각검출센서에 의해 검출된 상기 차량의 조향각이 기준각을 초과하면 상기 전동모터의 정회전 또는 역회전을 제어하기 위한 제어부를 포함해서 구성된다.
상기한 구성의 본 발명에 따른 차량전조등의 조사각확대장치에 의하면 전조등의 반사경 양단에 회동가능한 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경을 설치하여 해당하는 차량의 조향각이 기준각 이상으로 검출되면 제어부의 제어하여 전동모터를 정회전 또는 역회전시켜서 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경을 그 차량의 회전방향으로 회동시켜줌으로써 전조등의 램프로부터 발광된 광비임이 그 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경에서 반사되어 그 차량의 회전방향에 대한 운전자의 시계확보가 가능하게 된다.

이하, 본 발명에 대해 첨부도면을 참조하여 상세하게 설명한다.
도 1은 본 발명이 적용된 차량전조등의 개략적인 구성을 나타낸 도면으로, 참조부호 10은 그 전조등의 후방을 커버링하기 위한 후방케이싱을 나타내고, 12는 그 후방케이싱의 중앙부분에 고정설치되어 콤비네이션레버(도시 생략)의 조작시 인가되는 배터리전원에 의해 점등되는 램프를 나타내며, 14는 상기 후방케이싱(10)의 전방에 결합된 투명한 글래스재질의 전방커버를 나타낸다.
또, 16은 상기 램프(12)에서 발광되는 광비임을 전방향으로 반사하는 반사경을 나타내는 바, 본 발명에 따르면 그 반사경(16)의 양단에는 그 반사경(16)과 분리적으로 형성되어 해당하는 차량의 좌/우회전진행시 검출되는 조향각에 따라 소정각도 회동하여 그 차량의 회전방향으로도 상기 램프(12)의 광비임을 반사시키기 위한 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)이 설치된다.
바람직하게, 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)의 상단 및 하단의 중앙에는 대응하는 회동축(도 1에는 하단의 회동축(20a,20b)만이 도시됨)이 구비되고, 그 하단의 회동축(20a,20b)의 소정위치에는 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)의 회동을 위한 대응하는 종동기어(22a,22b)가 갖추어지게 된다.
또, 참조부호 24는 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)을 좌측 또는 우측방향으로 회전시키기 위한 동력을 발생하는 정/역회전이 가능한 소형모터를 나타내고, 그 소형모터(24)의 축상에는 전동기어(26)가 설치된다. 또, 28은 상기 전동기어(26)의 회전동력을 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)의 회동축(20a,20b)에 설치된 종동기어(22a,22b)측으로 전달하기 위한 랙기어를 나타낸다.
도 2는 본 발명에 따른 차량전조등의 조사각확대장치를 구성하는 제어유니트를 나타내는 바, 참조부호 30으로 표시된 제어유니트에서 32는 소위 콤비네이션스위치로 칭해지는 램프ON/OFF스위치를 나타내고, 34는 상기 램프ON/OFF스위치(30)의 조작시 상기 램프(12)의 구동을 제어함과 더불어, 해당하는 차량의 핸들회전상태를 조향각으로 검출하는 조향각검출센서(38)로부터의 조향각검출신호에 의해 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)의 회동을 제어하기 위한 제어부를 나타낸다.
또, 상기 제어유니트(30)에서 36은 상기 제어부(34)의 제어하에 상기 램프(12)를 점등/소등구동하기 위한 램프구동부를 나타내고, 38은 상기 제어부(34)의 제어하에 상기 전동모터(34)를 정/역구동하기 위한 모터구동부를 나타낸다.
이어, 상기한 구성의 본 발명에 따른 차량전조등의 조향각확대장치의 작용에 대해 도 3을 참조하여 상세하게 설명한다.
먼저, 주변의 조도가 낮거나 야간운행시 상기 램프ON/OFF스위치(32)가 ON조작되면 상기 제어부(34)는 램프구동부(36)를 통해 상기 램프(12)를 구동하게 되고, 그에 따라 상기 램프(12)가 점등되어 반사경(16)에서 반사되는 광비임의 성분과 더불어 해당하는 차량의 전방향을 조명하게 된다.
그 경우, 상기 제어부(34)는 상기 모터구동부(40)를 제어하여 상기 전동모터(24)에 의해 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)이 그 차량의 전방향을 향하도록 위치시키게 된다.
그 상태에서, 해당하는 차량이 우회전 또는 좌회전하기 위해 상기 조향각검출센서(38)로부터 소정의 조향각(바람직하게 15°)이 검출되면 상기 제어부(34)는 그 차량의 회전방향에 따라 상기 모터구동부(40)에 모터제어신호를 인가하게 되고, 그에 따라 상기 모터구동부(40)는 상기 전동모터(24)를 정회전 또는 역회전시키게 된다.
상기 전동모터(24)의 정회전 또는 역회전의 작용은 상기 전동기어(26)를 통해 상기 랙기어(28)에 전달되고, 그에 따라 그 랙기어(28)가 좌측 또는 우측으로 이동하게 된다. 상기 랙기어(28)의 좌측 또는 우측의 이동에 의해 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)의 하단 회전축(20a,20b)에 결합된 종동기어(22a,22b)가 동일한 방향 즉, 좌측방향 또는 우측방향으로 회전하게 되고, 그에 따라 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)이 도 3에서 1점쇄선 또는 2점쇄선으로 나타낸 방향으로 회동하게 된다.
따라서, 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)의 회동상태에 따라 상기 램프(12)에서 발광된 광비임이 그 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)에서 해당하는 차량의 회전방향에 대해서도 조명을 행할 수 있게 되고, 그에 따라 운전자는 차량의 회전방향에 대한 시계의 확보가 가능하게 된다.
한편, 본 발명에 따르면 도 1 및 도 3에서 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)을 차량의 조향각에 대응하여 회동시키는 구성이 전조등의 내부에 설치된 상태로 실시되어 있지만, 본 발명에 따르면 그 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)을 회동시키기 위한 종동기어(22a,22b)와 전동모터(24), 전동기어(26) 및 랙기어(28)는 그 차량전조등의 하측 외부에 설치되도록 변경설계될 수 있다.
상기한 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따른 차량전조등의 조사각확대장치에 의하면 전조등의 반사경 양단에 회동가능한 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경을 회동가능하게 설치해서 해당하는 차량의 조향각에 기초하여 회동구동함으로써 차량의 회전방향에 대한 운전자의 시계확보가 일층 효과적으로 실현될 수 있게 된다.

  1. 후방커버(10)와 전방커버(14)의 내부에 램프(12)와 그 램프(12)의 광비임을 전방향으로 반사하는 반사경(16)으로 이루어진 1조의 전조등을 갖춘 차량에 있어서, 상기 반사경(16)의 양단에 대응하는 회동축(20a,20b)에 의해 회동가능하게 설치되는 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)과, 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)을 회전시키기 위한 정/역회전이 가능한 전동모터(24) 및 그 전동모터(24)의 축에 결합된 전동기어(26), 상기 전동기어(26)를 매개하여 전달되는 상기 전동모터(24)의 정/역회전을 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)의 회동축에 대응적으로 설치된 종동기어(22a,22b)에 전달하는 랙기어(28), 상기 전동모터(24)를 상기 차량의 회전방향으로 구동해서 상기 제 1 및 제 2서브반사경(18a,18b)이 그 차량의 회전방향을 향해 회동되도록 하는 제어유니트(30)를 갖추어 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 차량전조등의 조사각확대장치.
  2. 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제어유니트(30)에는 상기 차량의 조향각을 검출하는 조향각검출센서(38)와 그 조향각검출센서(38)에 의해 검출된 상기 차량의 조향각이 기준각을 초과하면 상기 전동모터(24)의 정회전 또는 역회전을 제어하기 위한 제어부(34)를 포함해서 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 차량전조등의 조사각확대장치.
