Claims (3)
- 통신프로토콜을 각각 구비한 이동 단말기와 기지국으로 이루어진 CDMA 이동통신망과 공중교환전화망을 이용하여 데이터 단말기가 팩스를 전송하기 위해,팩스 응용 소프트웨어와 포인트-포인트 프로토콜(PPP) 이상의 프로토콜들을 실장한 데이터 단말기가 모뎀 다이얼링 및 팩스 데이터를 직렬 인터페이스를 통해 이동 단말기가 인식하도록 전달하는 제 1 과정과;상기 전달된 모뎀 다이얼링 명령어 및 팩스 데이터를 수신한 이동 단말기가 무선링크 프로토콜(RLP) 이하의 프로토콜들을 이용하여 일반적인 음성 호처리 절차와 동일한 호처리 절차에 의해 모뎀 다이얼링 명령어 및 팩스 데이터를 기지국으로 전송하는 제 2 과정과;상기 모뎀 다이얼링 명령어를 받은 기지국이 RLP 이하의 프로토콜을 이용하여 공중전화망에서 전송되는 데이터로 변환한 후 일반적인 공중교환전화망을 이용한 팩스 송신 절차에 의거하여 상대측 팩스장치에 다이얼링 한 후 장 단위의 팩스 데이터를 송신한 후 해제하는 제 3 과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 CDMA 이동 통신망을 이용한 G3 팩스 서비스 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 2 과정은이동국 개시의 호에 대해 기지국으로부터 통화채널이 할당되고, 서비스 옵션이 응답되면 이동 단말기는 RLP를 초기화하는 제 1 단계와;RLP 초기화 후 이동 단말기는 데이터 단말기에 호의 설정을 알리는 제 2 단계와;데이터 단말기와 인터워킹 함수(IWF)의 PPP는 자체 초기화 후 링크제어 프로토콜(LCP)을 구동시켜 직렬 링크를 초기화하고, 인터넷 프로토콜 제어 프로토콜(IPCP)을 이용해 인터넷 프로토콜(IP) 주소 및 전송제어 프로토콜/인터넷 프로토콜(TCP/IP) 헤더 압축을 협상하는 제 3 단계와;협상 후 TCP/IP가 구동되고, 데이터 단말기의 응용소프트웨는 기지국에 있는 IWF의 모뎀 제어를 위한 모뎀 초기화 명령어들과 다이어리 명령어를 상기 구동된 TCP/IP 프로토콜에 실어 기지국으로 송신하는 제 4 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 CDMA 이동 통신망을 이용한 G3 팩스 서비스 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 3 과정은상기 인터워킹 함수(IWF)로부터 상대 팩스 장치와의 연결을 알리는 메시지가 들어오면 팩스 응용소프트웨어와 상대측 팩스 장치와의 전송 절차 협상을 진행하는 제 1 단계와;상기 팩스가 전송되면 팩스 상태에 따른 호 절체 메시지에 의해 호가 단절되고, 이동 단말기와 기지국은 상기 이동 단말기와 인터워킹 함수의 프로토콜들을 설정과 반대 절차로 해제하는 제 3 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 CDMA 이동 통신망을 이용한 G3 팩스 서비스 방법.
