Abstract

본 발명은 포커스 바이어스 자동 조정 방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히 측정된 복수개의 지터값을 평균하여 새로운 바이어스값을 설정하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 목적을 위하여 소정의 바이어스로 부터 제1방향 및 제1방향의 반대 방향으로 증가시켜가면서 기준되는 지터값 이상인 각 방향에서의 두 지터값을 평균한 지터값을 구하는 제1과정, 상기 제1과정을 소정 횟수 반복하여 복수개의 지터값들을 구하는 제2과정, 상기 제2과정의 복수개 지터값중에서 최대, 최소값의 지터값을 제외한 나머지를 평균하여 그 값을 바이어스값으로 설정하는 제3과정을 포함한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 종래의 바이어스 조정과는 달리 측정 시간이 적게 걸리고, 디스크를 교환하거나 트레이를 오픈할때 처럼 반복 체크에 의해서 바이어스 값이 오차가 나타날 확률이 적어지는 잇점이 있다.

Description

포커스 바이어스 자동 조정 방법
본 발명은 포커스 바이어스 자동 조정 방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히 측정된 복수개의 지터값을 평균하여 새로운 바이어스값을 설정하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 일반적으로 포커스 서보는 레이져 비임에 디스크상의 신호를 읽어내는 레이져 비임의 촛점을 디스크 피트에 항상 맞춰지도록 광학계로 검출된 촛점 위치 정보를 토대로 대물 렌즈를 움직이는 2축 액추에이터에 의해 촛점 위치를 제어하고 디스크의 면진동을 추종할 수 있도록 하는 서보이다. 따라서 이러한 포커스 서보를 수행하기 위해서는 포커스 바이어스가 조정되어야 한다. 도 1은 일반적인 포커스 바이어스의 수행 과정을 보이는 흐름도이며, 전원이 온되면(110과정), 포커스 온 및 CLV가 온과정(120과정) 및 그에 따른 포커스 바이어스 자동 조정 되는 초기화 과정을 수행하여 바이어스 값이 설정된다.
도 2의 (a)는 이상적인 포커스 바이어스값을 측정하는 그래프이며, x축은 바이어스값이며, y축은 지터값이며, 도 2의 (b)는 실제 측정되는 포커스 바이어스 값의 그래프이며, x축은 바이어스값이며, y축은 지터값이다.
도 3은 도 종래 기술에 의한 포커스 바이어스 설정 방법을 보이는 흐름도이며, 도 2의 (a)에 도시된 바와 같이 디지탈 신호 처리기(도시안됨)에서 바이어스 00H 에서 지터를 리드하여(310과정), 지터가 감소하는 방향으로 바이어스를 변경하여 값을 구한다(320). 다음 이전의 바이어스 값과 비교하면서 최소점(min)을 체크한 후 메모리에 저장하며, 또한 최소점을 중심으로 +,- 방향으로 각각 증가하여 각 최대점(A,B)을 체크한다(340과정). 최종적으로 각 최대점(A,B)의 평균을 계산하여 그값을 바이어스 값으로 설정한다(350과정). 그러나 실제 하드웨어 특성을 고려해 볼때 포커스 바이어스는 도 2의 (b)와 같은 그래프로 표시되며, 최소값이 (a, b, c, d)로 잘못 찾아질 확률이 크며, 종래의 바이어스 조정은 초기화 루틴에서 1회 조정되기 때문에 잘못된 조정이 될 경우 그 바이어스 값을 계속 유지하게 되는 문제점이 있었다.
본 발명이 이루고자하는 기술적과제는 미리정한 지터값 이상인 지터값을 소정 반복하여 최적의 바이어스 값을 구함으로서, 오차가 적은 바이어스 값을 구하는 방법을 제공하는 데 있다.
도 1은 일반적인 포커스 바이어스의 수행 과정을 보이는 흐름도이다.
도 2의 (a)는 이상적인 포커스 바이어스값을 측정하는 그래프이며, 도 2의(b)는 실제 측정되는 포커스 바이어스 값의 그래프이다.
도 3은 도 종래 기술에 의한 포커스 바이어스 설정 방법을 보이는 흐름도이다.
도 4는 본 발명에 따른 포커스 바이어스값을 구하는 초기화 과정을 보이는 흐름도이다.
도 5는 본 발명에 따른 포커스 바이어스값을 구하는 방법을 보이는 흐름도이다.
도 6은 도 5의 방법을 적용하여 디지탈 신호 처리기에서 리드한 바이어스값의 그래프이다.
상기의 기술적 과제를 해결하기 위하여 본 발명은 포커스 바이어스를 조정하는 방법에 있어서, 소정의 바이어스로 부터 제1방향 및 제1방향의 반대 방향으로 증가시켜가면서 기준되는 지터값 이상인 각 방향에서의 두 지터값을 평균한 지터값을 구하는 제1과정, 상기 제1과정을 소정 횟수 반복하여 복수개의 지터값들을 구하는 제2과정, 상기 제2과정의 복수개 지터값중에서 최대, 최소값의 지터값을 제외한 나머지를 평균하여 그 값을 바이어스값으로 설정하는 제3과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 포커스 바이어스 자동 조정 방법이다.
이하에서 첨부한 도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 실시예를 상세히 설명한다. .
도 4는 본 발명에 따른 포커스 바이어스값을 구하는 초기화 과정을 보이는 흐름도이며, 포커스, CLV 서보를 온하여(410과정), 바이어스 조정하고(420과정), 기존의 바이어스가 0인가를 판정하여(430과정), 바이어스가 0가 아니면 기존에 구한 바이어스값과 본 발명에서 새로구한 바이어스값을 평균하여 바이어스를 설정하며(440과정), 기존의 바이어스가 0이면 바이어스를 확정하는 과정(450)으로 이루어진다.
도 5는 본 발명에 따른 포커스 바이어스값을 구하는 방법을 보이는 흐름도이며, 회수 설정(5회) 과정(512), 0 바이어스에서 한쪽으로 증가하는 과정(514), 기준 지터값 이상인가를 판정하는 과정(516), 기준 지터값 이상이면 A지터값을 설정하는 과정(518), 0 바이어스에서 반대쪽으로 증가하는 과정(520), 기준 지터값 이상인가를 판정하는 과정(522), 기준 지터값 이상이면 B지터값을 설정하는 과정(524), A,B 지터값을 평균하는 과정(526), 5회 반복하여 감산 5개의 지터를 구하는 과정(528,530), 5개의 지터값중 최대, 최소값을 제외하고 3개를 평균하여 바이어스값 설정하는 과정(540)으로 이루어진다.
도 6은 도 5의 방법을 적용하여 디지탈 신호 처리기에서 리드한 바이어스값의 그래프이며, x축은 바이어스값이며, y축은 지터값이다.
도 5에 도시된 바와 같이 먼저 마이콤은 루프를 반복할 회수 설정을 예를 들면 5회로 설정한다(512과정). 다음은 0 바이어스값에서 왼쪽으로 증가하여(514과정) 증가된 바이어스가 기준 지터값(AAH) 이상인가를 판단한다(516과정). 여기서 기준 지터값(AAH) 이상이면 왼쪽 방향의 A지터값을 설정한다(518과정). 다음 0 바이어스에서 반대쪽 즉, 오른쪽 방향으로 바이어스를 증가해가며(520과정)) 기준 지터값(AAH) 이상인가를 판정한다(522과정). 여기서 기준 지터값 이상이면 오른쪽 바향의 B지터값을 설정한다(524과정). 마이콤은 518과정 및 524과정에서 설정된 A 지터값 및 B 지터값을 평균하여 제1지터값으로 설정한다(526과정). 제1지터값을 메모리에 저장한다음 횟수가 5회 인가를 판정하며(528,530과정), 횟수가 5회가 될 때 까지 상기의 과정을 반복하여 5개의 지터값 즉, 제2,제3,제4,제5의 지터값을 설정한다. 다음은 5개의 지터값중 최대, 최소값을 제외하고 3개를 평균하여 새로운 바이어스값 설정한다(540과정).
상술한 바와 같이 본 발명에 의하면, 종래의 바이어스 조정과는 달리 측정 시간이 적게 걸리고, 디스크를 교환하거나 트레이를 오픈할때 처럼 반복 체크에 의해서 바이어스 값이 오차가 나타날 확률이 적어지는 잇점이 있다.

Claims (2)

  1. 포커스 바이어스를 조정하는 방법에 있어서,
    소정의 바이어스로 부터 제1방향 및 제1방향의 반대 방향으로 증가시켜가면서 기준되는 지터값 이상인 각 방향에서의 두 지터값을 평균한 지터값을 구하는 제1과정;
    상기 제1과정을 소정 횟수 반복하여 복수개의 지터값들을 구하는 제2과정;
    상기 제2과정의 복수개 지터값중에서 최대, 최소값의 지터값을 제외한 나머지를 평균하여 그 값을 바이어스값으로 설정하는 제3과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 포커스 바이어스 자동 조정 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1과정은 제로(0) 바이어스로 부터 시작하여 각 방향으로 증가시켜가는 것을 특징으로 하는 포커스 바이어스 자동 조정 방법.
