- 입력 최대 휘도에 따라 선택된 문턱값을 기준으로 그 문턱값 미만의 영상 데이터를, 계조 재현 마스크를 이용하여 상기 문턱값과 최소값 중 어느 하나로 변환하여 출력하고, 상기 문턱값 이상의 영상 데이터는 유지하여 출력하는 영상 처리부;
발광 소자를 갖는 복수의 서브픽셀을 포함하는 패널; 및
상기 영상 처리부의 출력을 상기 패널에 제공하는 패널 구동부를 포함하고,
상기 문턱값 미만의 저계조 영역에서, 상기 패널에 대한 구동 시간의 경과에 따라, 상기 문턱값을 표시하는 서브픽셀의 위치와, 상기 최소값을 표시하는 서브픽셀의 위치가 가변되는 발광 표시 장치. - 삭제
- 입력 최대 휘도에 따라 선택된 문턱값을 기준으로 그 문턱값 미만의 영상 데이터를, 계조 재현 마스크를 이용하여 상기 문턱값과 최소값 중 어느 하나로 변환하여 출력하고, 상기 문턱값 이상의 영상 데이터는 유지하여 출력하는 영상 처리부;
발광 소자를 갖는 복수의 서브픽셀을 포함하는 패널; 및
상기 영상 처리부의 출력을 상기 패널에 제공하는 패널 구동부를 포함하고,
각 발광 소자의 누적 사용량과 상기 문턱값에 따라, 상기 문턱값을 표시하는 서브픽셀의 위치와, 상기 최소값을 표시하는 서브픽셀의 위치가 가변되는 발광 표시 장치. - 입력 최대 휘도에 따라 선택된 문턱값을 기준으로 그 문턱값 미만의 영상 데이터를, 계조 재현 마스크를 이용하여 상기 문턱값과 최소값 중 어느 하나로 변환하여 출력하고, 상기 문턱값 이상의 영상 데이터는 유지하여 출력하는 영상 처리부;
발광 소자를 갖는 복수의 서브픽셀을 포함하는 패널; 및
상기 영상 처리부의 출력을 상기 패널에 제공하는 패널 구동부를 포함하고,
상기 영상 처리부는
복수의 최대 휘도별로, 컬러별로 다르게 설정된 복수의 문턱값 중 상기 입력 최대 휘도에 대응하는 각 컬러의 문턱값을 선택하여 출력하는 문턱값 LUT;
이전 프레임의 출력을 각 발광 소자의 사용량으로 누적하는 소자 사용량 누적부;
상기 문턱값 LUT에서 출력된 각 컬러의 문턱값과, 상기 소자 사용량 누적부에 저장된 각 발광 소자의 누적 사용량을 고려하여, 각 컬러의 상기 계조 재현 마스크를 생성하여 출력하는 마스크 생성부; 및
입력 영상 데이터를 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값과 비교하고, 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값 미만의 영상 데이터는 상기 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크에서 결정된 각 마스크값과 비교하여, 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값 또는 최소값으로 변환하여 출력하고, 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값 이상의 영상 데이터는 유지하여 출력하는 계조 재현 처리부를 포함하는 발광 표시 장치. - 청구항 4에 있어서,
상기 마스크 생성부는
상기 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크에 대응하는 서브픽셀들에 대한 각 발광 소자의 누적 사용량에 따라 부여한 순서값과, 감마 상수와, 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값과, 상기 계조 재현 마스크의 크기를 고려하여, 각 서브픽셀에 대응하는 각 마스크값을 결정하고 상기 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크를 생성하는 발광 표시 장치. - 청구항 5에 있어서,
상기 계조 재현 처리부는
상기 각 컬러의 문턱값 미만의 영상 데이터가 상기 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크의 해당 마스크값 보다 크면, 해당 영상 데이터를 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값으로 변환하여 출력하고,
상기 각 컬러의 문턱값 미만의 영상 데이터가 상기 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크의 해당 마스크값 이하이면, 해당 영상 데이터를 상기 최소값으로 변환하여 출력하는 발광 표시 장치. - 청구항 4에 있어서,
상기 영상 처리부는
상기 각 컬러의 문턱값이 계조값일 때, 상기 이전 프레임의 출력을 휘도값으로 변환하여 상기 소자 사용량 누적부로 출력하는 휘도 변환부를 더 포함하는 발광 표시 장치. - 청구항 4에 있어서,
상기 영상 처리부는
상기 각 컬러의 문턱값이 휘도값일 때, 상기 계조 재현 처리부의 입력단에 위치하여 상기 입력 영상 데이터인 계조값을 휘도값으로 변환하여 상기 계조 재현 처리부로 출력하는 휘도 변환부와;
상기 계조 재현 처리부의 출력인 휘도값을 계조값으로 변환하여 출력하는 계조 변환부를 더 포함하고;
상기 소자 사용량 누적부는 상기 계조 재현 처리부의 출력을 상기 이전 프레임의 출력으로 공급받아 누적하는 발광 표시 장치. - 복수의 최대 휘도별로, 컬러별로 다르게 설정된 복수의 문턱값 중 입력 최대 휘도에 대응하는 각 컬러의 문턱값을 선택하여 출력하는 문턱값 선택 단계;
이전 프레임의 출력을 복수의 서브픽셀 각각에 대한 발광 소자 사용량으로 누적하는 소자 사용량 누적 단계;
상기 선택된 각 컬러의 문턱값과, 상기 각 발광 소자의 누적 사용량을 고려하여 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크를 생성하는 마스크 생성 단계; 및
입력 영상 데이터를 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값과 비교하고, 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값 미만의 영상 데이터는 상기 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크에서 해당 마스크값과 비교하여, 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값 또는 최소값으로 변환하여 출력하고, 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값 이상의 영상 데이터는 유지하여 출력하는 계조 재현 단계와;
상기 계조 재현 단계의 출력을 패널에 표시하는 표시 단계를 포함하는 발광 표시 장치의 구동 방법. - 청구항 9에 있어서,
상기 마스크 생성 단계는
상기 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크에 대응하는 서브픽셀들의 각 발광 소자의 누적 사용량에 따라 부여한 순서값과, 감마 상수와, 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값과, 상기 계조 재현 마스크의 크기를 고려하여, 상기 해당 서브픽셀들에 각각 대응하는 마스크값을 결정하고 상기 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크를 생성하는 발광 표시 장치의 구동 방법. - 청구항 10에 있어서,
상기 계조 재현 단계는
상기 각 컬러의 문턱값 미만의 데이터가 상기 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크의 각 마스크값 보다 크면, 해당 데이터를 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값으로 변환하여 출력하고,
상기 각 컬러의 문턱값 미만의 데이터가 상기 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크의 각 마스크값 이하이면, 해당 데이터를 상기 최소값으로 변환하여 출력하는 발광 표시 장치의 구동 방법. - 청구항 9에 있어서,
상기 문턱값 미만의 영상 데이터가 동일하더라도 상기 패널에 대한 구동 시간의 경과에 따라, 상기 문턱값을 표시하는 서브픽셀의 위치와, 상기 최소값을 표시하는 서브픽셀의 위치가 가변되는 발광 표시 장치의 구동 방법. - 청구항 9에 있어서,
상기 각 컬러의 문턱값이 계조값일 때, 상기 이전 프레임의 출력을 휘도값으로 변환하여 상기 소자 사용량 누적 단계로 출력하는 휘도 변환 단계를 더 포함하는 발광 표시 장치의 구동 방법. - 청구항 9에 있어서,
상기 표시 단계는
상기 문턱값이 휘도값일 때, 상기 계조 재현 단계 이전에 상기 입력 영상 데이터인 계조값을 휘도값으로 변환하는 단계와;
상기 계조 재현 단계의 출력인 휘도값을 계조값으로 변환하여 상기 표시 단계로 출력하는 단계를 더 포함하는 발광 표시 장치의 구동 방법. - 청구항 9에 있어서,
상기 각 컬러의 문턱값 미만의 저계조 영역에 상기 각 컬러의 계조 재현 마스크를 적용하여 상기 각 컬러의 문턱값과 최소값의 조합으로 상기 저계조 영역의 휘도를 재현하는 발광 표시 장치의 구동 방법.
