도 5는 실시예 1의 광변조 디바이스에 대한 차단 모드에서의 광 누설 평가 결과를 도시한 것이다.
도 6은 비교예 1의 광변조 디바이스에 대한 차단 모드에서의 광 누설 평가 결과를 도시한 것이다.
101, 201 : 제 1 고분자 필름 기판, 제 2 고분자 필름 기판
102, 202 : 제 1 편광층, 제 2 편광층

Claims (19)
- 제 1 면에는 접착제층 또는 점착제층이 형성되어 있고, 제 2 면에는 제 1 편광층이 배치되어 있는 제 1 고분자 필름 기판과 제 1 면에는 액정 배향막이 형성되어 있고, 제 2 면에는 제 2 편광층이 배치되어 있는 제 2 고분자 필름 기판을 포함하며,
상기 제 1 및 제 2 고분자 필름 기판은 서로의 상기 제 1 면이 대향하도록 배치되어 있고, 상기 대향 배치된 제 1 및 제 2 고분자 필름 기판의 사이에는 액정 화합물을 포함하는 광변조층이 존재하며,
상기 대향 배치된 제 1 및 제 2 고분자 필름 기판의 간격이 사각형 격벽 스페이서로 유지되어 있고,
상기 사각형 격벽 스페이서는 상기 스페이서를 상부에서 관찰한 때에 상기 격벽에 의해 형성되는 폐도형이 사각형을 이루는 스페이서를 의미하며,
상기 사각형 격벽 스페이서를 상부에서 관찰할 때 상기 사각형의 각각의 변은, 제 1 및 제 2 편광층의 각각의 흡수축과 서로 수평 또는 수직한 광변조 디바이스. - 제 1 항에 있어서, 스페이서는 정사각형 또는 직사각형 격벽 스페이서인 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 제 1 및 제 2 고분자 필름 기판 각각의 지상축과 사각형 격벽 스페이서의 각각의 변은 서로 수평 또는 수직한 광변조 디바이스.
- 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 사각형 격벽 스페이서를 상부에서 관찰할 때 상기 사각형의 각각의 변은, 제 1 및 제 2 고분자 필름 기판의 각각의 지상축과 서로 수평 또는 수직한 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 스페이서는 경화성 수지 조성물의 경화물을 포함하는 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 제 1 및 제 2 편광층의 흡수축이 서로 수직한 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 제 1 및 제 2 고분자 필름 기판 서로의 지상축이 수평한 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 제 1 및 제 2 고분자 필름 기판은 각각 550nm 파장에 대한 면상 위상차가 500nm 이상인 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 광변조층은 이색성 염료를 추가로 포함하는 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 광변조층 내의 액정 화합물은 초기 배향이 수직 배향이고, 상기 수직 배향 상태가 외부 신호의 인가에 의해 수평 배향 상태로 변경될 수 있도록 설계된 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 광변조층은 키랄 도펀트를 추가로 포함하는 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 광변조층의 두께가 20㎛ 이하인 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 접착제층 또는 점착제층은 수직 배향력을 가지는 접착제를 포함하는 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 14 항에 있어서, 수직 배향력을 가지는 접착제는 실리콘 접착제인 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 14 항에 있어서, 수직 배향력을 가지는 접착제는 고상 접착제, 반고상 접착제, 탄성 접착제 또는 액상 접착제인 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 제 1 고분자 필름 기판에는 액정 배향막이 형성되어 있지 않은 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 접착제층 또는 점착제층과 제 1 고분자 필름 기판의 사이 및 액정 배향막과 제 2 고분자 필름 기판 사이에는 각각 도전층이 형성되어 있는 광변조 디바이스.
- 하나 이상의 개구부가 형성되어 있는 차체; 및 상기 개구부에 장착된 제 1 항의 광변조 디바이스를 포함하는 자동차.
