Claims (15)
- 제1 및 제2영역을 포함하는 화소를 갖는 기판과;
상기 기판 상부의 상기 화소에 배치되는 박막트랜지스터와;
상기 제1영역에 배치되고, 상기 박막트랜지스터에 연결되는 제1화소전극과;
상기 제1영역에 배치되고, 상기 제1화소전극으로부터 제1이격거리만큼 평행하게 이격되는 제1공통전극과;
상기 제2영역에 배치되고, 상기 제1화소전극에 연결되는 제2화소전극과;
상기 제2영역에 배치되고, 상기 제2화소전극으로부터 상기 제1이격거리와 상이한 제2이격거리만큼 평행하게 이격되는 제2공통전극과;
상기 제1화소전극, 상기 제1공통전극, 상기 제2화소전극 및 상기 제2공통전극 상부에 배치되는 액정층
을 포함하고,
상기 제1화소전극과 상기 제2화소전극은 서로 동일한 폭을 갖고, 상기 제1공통전극과 상기 제2공통전극은 서로 동일한 폭을 갖는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,

상기 제1화소전극 및 상기 제1공통전극 사이에 상기 제1전압보다 큰 제2전압이 인가된 경우 상기 제1영역의 상기 액정층은 λ/4의 평균 위상지연을 갖고,
상기 제2화소전극 및 상기 제2공통전극 사이에 상기 제2전압이 인가된 경우 상기 제2영역의 상기 액정층은 λ/2의 평균 위상지연을 갖고,
상기 제1 및 제2영역은 화이트를 표시하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 박막트랜지스터에 연결되고, 서로 교차하여 상기 화소를 정의하는 게이트배선 및 데이터배선을 더 포함하고,
상기 제1화소전극 및 상기 제1공통전극은 상기 게이트배선 또는 상기 데이터배선에 평행한 제1방향으로 배열되고,
상기 제2화소전극 및 상기 제2공통전극은 상기 제1방향으로 배열되는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 박막트랜지스터에 연결되고, 서로 교차하여 상기 화소를 정의하는 게이트배선 및 데이터배선을 더 포함하고,
상기 제1화소전극 및 상기 제1공통전극은 상기 게이트배선 또는 상기 데이터배선에 평행한 제1방향으로 배열되고,

상기 박막트랜지스터에 연결되고, 서로 교차하여 상기 화소를 정의하는 게이트배선 및 데이터배선을 더 포함하고,
상기 제1화소전극 및 상기 제1공통전극은 상기 게이트배선 또는 상기 데이터배선과 예각으로 교차하는 제1방향으로 배열되고,
상기 제2화소전극 및 상기 제2공통전극은 상기 제1방향과 교차하는 제2방향으로 배열되는 액정표시장치.

상기 액정층은 다수의 액정캡슐을 포함하는 액정표시장치.

상기 제1 및 제2화소전극에는 동일한 데이터전압이 인가되는 액정표시장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 제2공통전극은 다수의 제2공통전극을 포함하고,
상기 다수의 제2공통전극 중 하나는 상기 제2영역에만 배치되고, 상기 다수의 제2공통전극 중 다른 하나는 상기 제2영역으로부터 상기 제1영역으로 연장되어 상기 제1공통전극에 연결되는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 액정층은 바인더와 상기 바인더에 분산되는 다수의 액정캡슐을 포함하고
상기 제1화소전극 및 상기 제1공통전극 사이와 상기 제2화소전극 및 상기 제2화소전극 사이에 제1전압이 인가된 경우, 상기 제1 및 제2영역의 상기 다수의 액정캡슐의 액정분자는 무작위로 배열되어, 상기 제1영역의 액정층은 0의 평균 위상지연을 갖고 상기 제2영역의 상기 액정층은 0의 평균 위상지연을 갖고,
